Congratulations Doncaster for making the 1996 Grand Final.

The 1996 team was extremely successful. Making the Grand Final topped a great season for Doncaster. A wrist injury of standard goalie Mark Blaser incurred during the semi finals clash dampened Doncaster's chances of beating City of Melbourne in the Grand Final. However, the team put up a great fight, but had to give in to the Redback's superior class on the day.
