New Sponsorship Contract Signed

The Doncaster Handball club has signed a new 3 year sponsorship deal with major brewer Lion Nathan's Victorian subsidiary company, Tooheys Victoria. The brewing company is actively supporting grass roots sporting clubs such as the Doncaster Handball club, promoting their fantastic products such as Tooheys New, Hahn Premium Light and Hahn Premium.

Part of the sponsorship consists of Tooheys Victoria assisting our club to establish a "home" venue at the famous Percy's Hotel in Lygon Street, Carlton (Melbourne). Percy's will be THE venue for pre- and post match drinks (Tooheys New & Hahn Premium Light, of course), and will be available for functions etc. to the club.

2000 National State Championships

The 2000 National State Championships will be played later in June, with a number of players from Doncaster having made the selection into the state team again this year. Victoria is the defending National champion, and we wish the guys good luck to go back to back this year.

State training for the event is Monday nights, 7:30pm 'til 9:30pm, at the Merilands Community Centre, Asquish Street, Reservoir. Attendance by personal invitation of the State Team coach Dragan Marinkovic only.
