Graham....I bought my first album 30 years ago. The majority of my LPs have been played 1 - 3 times as I used to record to tape. The tapes are long gone and the LP's came out of their storage box 2 months ago for conversion to CD. As you could imagine the majority of my collection is in pristine condition. I did the before and after test on an album that I am positive was only played once. It sounded great with a new stylus and new B&W speakers and NAD amp, but it still had a bit of noise from dust etc. Playing it after TVS had been applied made a remarkable difference to the pause between tracks and in quieter sections of the album. I also ran the test on an album that I actually found at the dump and had never played in its entirety due to the scratches etc. It certainly doesn't sound new but I can now listen to it without cringing at some of the noises being transmitted through my stylus. After processing it with my software I've got a CD that I thoroughly enjoy listening to. Great product and good to see it coming from Oz.

Hi Graham, I have used your TVS. In fact, I've been using it all week. I have some very old singles with horrible Surface Noise. Not any more. That's bloody good stuff. I had an old Wings single. I was going to throw it out it had that much noise. I repeated the process twice with that one. Now it's as good as new. I also had an old Led Zeppelin single which had really bad static. Yea, it had what I thought were light scratches here & there. Sounds great now. No more crackling. Goes to show you, its not the light scratches making the noise.

Graham, about a month ago, I received a bottle of TVS from you. I wanted you to know that I am very pleased with the results I’ve been having so far. I tried it out on some 99-cent records I got from a local shop. A few of them were almost unbearable to listen to before treatment. Afterwards, there were still some ticks and pops, but I’m convinced all of the noise that’s left is from damage to the grooves, and not accumulated dirt and grime. Even with the remaining noise, the records sound much better, and the vinyl restoration program in Sonic Foundry 6.0 had no problems handling the little bit of noise that was left. Thanks for such a great product.

Hi Graham...Have now tried out your record cleaning solution and have to say I am very impressed by the results. I used an old Zoot Money album from the sixties which is a well produced album but the copy I have is in very poor condition having lots of surface noise, ticks and pops etc. Although your solution didn't eliminate all noise, the music seemed to flow a lot better and the surface noise was drastically reduced. I have a few friends who are hi-fi buffs and will let them try out your solution. Thanks once again for letting me try it out and do keep me in touch with further developments. Regards..........

.I have also used TVS (The Vinyl Solution) on 30 year old records. Works beautifully and I am now bopping along to music that I haven't heard for more than a quarter of a century (now that IS scarey folks). Go for the TVS...you won't be disappointed..........Cheers.

Hello Graham, some weeks ago I bought some of your Vinyl Solution and you asked me to let you know how I got on with it. I was unable to try it out at the time because of a mishap with my computer. However, this has been sorted out and at the weekend I was able to have a go with the solution. I tried it on a record that I had transferred to CD prior to receiving the cleaner from you. The difference between the "before treatment" and "after treatment " CDs was huge. The CD made before treatment wouldn`t be listened to a second time, the noise was continuous and spoiled the music. The CD made from the transfer after treatment was very good, although there were still some ticks on it there wasn`t the continuous rasping that was present in the first CD. The LP I transferred from is over twenty years old. I am now having a go at removing the ticks from the wave file I saved on my hard disk. As I`m right at the start of the learning curve I am struggling a bit, but having some success I think. I`m sure treatment of LPs with it is definitely the correct first step in transferring music from LP to CD. Best wishes..........

Graham...I can't believe the results and the amount of junk TVS gets out of the grooves. I'm mastering to 24bit 96KHz wave files and the results are fantastic. I don't believe in restoration software as it takes the edge off the sound (imho) Many thanks    Craig

Finally used your solution on an almost 30 year old album (Monster Mash by Zachary Taylor,) to transfer it to CD for Halloween. The results were quite good, I am very pleased. Thanks again....

TVS is a great product. Together with a good s/w program like Wave Repair, the results are outstanding. I am really impressed with the results. The results are in fact better than the original ...(no clicks or crackle) Thanks again.............

With my first use of TVS, I decided to do a non-scientific before-and-after comparison to determine the effectiveness of this product for myself. For the test, I chose a record I recently purchased at a local used bookshop. It turned out to be a good choice. Even though I cleaned the record with the record cleaning solution I normally use, half way through the first side the stylus started skipping because of a build up of gunk. The Vinyl Solution not only cleaned the gunk from the grooves and significantly reduced the level of surface noise, but I could hardly believe how much the actual sound quality improved as well. I thought it truly remarkable.

I finally got around to trying THE VINYL SOLUTION on a few old 45 RPM's I have re-aquired from my childhood. These records were in rough shape, without jackets, obviously loose in a box of junk for 20 years or so. Not to mention handled badly by kids ( my brother, sisters & me ) even when they were new. I remember them being on the cement floor in the basement many times where the "Kids " record player was located. First I recorded them in dry, then another time using THE VINYL SOLUTION so I could A-B them later. I recorded 3 songs from 3 records. My findings were each time THE VINYL SOLUTION made an avarage of -10 dB difference in the noise floor of the original. As we know from Unity Gain, that is half as much noise! Well worth using if you want to clean up a 30 year old 45 RPM out of print rare treasure like i did! Now I wish I could re-discover the rest of my record collection in one of those old boxes !  Still searching <G>

I bought this stuff quite a while ago, but haven't used it until now. I tried it on a Rosanne Cash record from 1987, by which time I was taking pretty good care of my records.  It didn't sound to be untreated, TVS made it sound really fresh - no pops, clicks, etc. Then I tried Paul Revere and the Raiders Greatest Hits, which I must have got in about 1968 or so, when I used to throw my records all over the floor.....TVS made it sound pretty good...........I would guess the lack of perfection comes more from the physical condition of the record than it does from the effects of TVS. In short ..... the stuff works great! Nice product Graham.

Hi Graham...I used it on four LPs over the weekend, and have been stunned by its effectiveness: it is amazing. The first album I tried it on, had quiet passages where the noise was louder than the music: TVS cut most of this to near zero.Well done.

Transferred more than 20 LP's or so for the holidays; TVS worked most excellent in every case.  Even made new vinyl sound better with less surface noise.  I'm sold. Now if there were only a de-crackler and de-clicker in a bottle...Thanks! Regards,.

I have just purchased 4 bottles of this solution and I must say that I am completely blown away by the improvement in quality of the sound reproduction from my records now that they are clean. It was in some cases unnecessary to run the saved tracks through the wave corrector as there was no audible clicks or pops to be heard. My congratulations to Graham for an excellent product......

Danny...just to let you have some feedback....I can't believe the results i'm now getting..like yourself I've turned an LP that I'd given up on into a pristine click free beautiful sounding CD. I've achieved this by:

1..cleaning LP with The Vinyl Solution

2..recording @32 bit (float)

3..using cool edit pro2 FFT filter 50hz to 100hz notch (not in cooledit pro2 so pinched info from cool.ini of cool edit2000 and installed into cool.ini of pro2)..........etc
