Rules of Qld Enduro Competitions

SERIES POINTS ELIGIBILITY

For 2005
To be eligible for any series point a rider must work at least one (1) of the enduro events being run in a racing calendar year. Working must be prior to, or after the event ie. working to set up a track and to help take down the track. This does not include working for average points on the day of the event. If you work as a high level official at an event you automatically qualify for series points (Clerk of Course / Steward). Juniors are exempt from this rule but are welcome to help set up tracks.

(1) The event will be 5 hours long. Class 1 should start at 10 am and finish at 3 pm. The other classes should be Le Mans start also and at 2 minute intervals.Finishing will follow the same intervals.

The actual starting and finishing times will be written on the score sheets by the scorers on the day of the event. Each riders laps should be scored to the second. The event may be shortened at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course or the Steward on the day if track conditions deteriorate.

(2) FINISHING - Experts - Minimum 50% of class winners laps and cross the line after the official class finish.

-Clubmen, Ironmen and Masters - Minimum 50% of class winners laps or cross the line after the official class finish.

N.B. Anyone not crossing the line after the official class finish may only score a maximum of 5 series points. Riders must finish their final lap within a time that equals 300% of their class winners best lap time.

(3) CLASSES. The series is run with 10 classes over 3 rounds. The classes are:-

  1. Pro (All Powers) Pro riders have to partner up with either an Expert or Clubman rider. No pairing of Pro Riders will be accepted.
  2. Expert (all powers) Teams may consist of ecpert or clubman riders
  3. Ironman
  4. Masters(over 35's) (Minimum one Clubman in a team)
  5. Clubman under 200 2 stroke and up to 250 4 stroke
  6. Clubman over 200
  7. Ladies
  8. Junior 125cc 2 stroke (13-15 yrs) + up to 250cc 4 Stroke (14-15 yrs)
  9. Juniors (85cc)
  10. Outright - All riders entered automatically.

Classes 1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 are for teams of 2 riders on 1 or 2 bikes. Solo riders may enter these classes. Class 3 is for 1 rider on 1 bike. All teams are required to change riders each lap and if using 2 bikes rider/bike combination must change each lap. Rider "A" begins the race and fires up their own bike at the Le Mans start.

Pro MX riders = Pro H.P.E. Rider and Intermediate MX rider = Expert H.P.E. rider

(4) SCORING - The points are as follows:-

Scoring Classes 1,2,4,5,6,7, 8, 9, 10 - Points as above are scored for each team at each round. The series points are allocated to each individual rider in the team and are not transferable to other classes. If team members change, each rider carries their individual points for the series provided they still compete in the same class. Riders are encouraged to work one round and will score average points for that round.

Scoring for class 3 is the same as for classes 1,2,4,5,6,7,8, 9, 10 as above but with the word teams replaced by the word rider.

TEAM AWARD - 5 riders, 5 trophies. The Team does not have to be a club team or a trade team. Five person team comprised of 1 Ironman, 1 Clubman team, 1 Experts or Masters team. Scoring will be a total of the 3 segments of riders points with a maximum possible total score of 60 points. The series team award winners will be the team with the most points from the 3 rounds with a maximum possible score of 180 points. Ladies and Juniors not eligible

SCORING TENT.

Competitors will pass through at the completion of each lap and have their lap times recorded. Where possible the tent is to be placed so that competitors do not have to push uphill when passing through with a dead engine. Where this is not possible, competitors may have their engines running but must be off their bikes. Ironmen, regardless of the tent position, are always allowed to pass through with their engines running but must also be off their bikes.

PENALTIES.

For minor infringements, (eg. not dismounting at, or before the correct dismount position) first offence - 1 minute. Second offence - 5 minutes, subsequent minor offences or major offences at the discrestion of the Clerk of Course.

Yamaha Sprint Cross Country Series

Normally 3 rounds per annum & also incorporating the Nolan\ EK\Rock Oil Club Team Award.

THE EVENT-Each rider will do 4 races,being 2 on each,Track 1 & Track 2.

THE COURSE-Off road natural terrain with direction markings by arrows & tapes. The lengths of both tracks 1 & 2 should be approximately 8-10 minutes each with the first minute being a natural terrain motocross track & the rest a relatively easy & enjoyable course. Remember Juniors do the same course.

FORMAT-One rider\One bike & no change of bike allowed once your days racing has begun.

TIMING-The winners in each race for their class will be the riders who complete the most laps.

WORKING-A rider is allowed to work one round & gain average points for that round. It is the responsibility of the rider & their club to advise QESC in writing of rounds worked. Please send note at end of this section regarding average points.

CLASSES-All Pro grade Motocross riders will compete in the Pro Class. All Intermediate Motocross riders will compete in the Expert class.

GROUP A
1- Juniors 90cc - 125cc 13-15 years and up to 250cc 4 Stroke 14-15 years
2 - Junior under 85cc 12-15 years includes big wheel 80cc and XR100 & RT100
3 - Junior under 85cc 9-11 years & Big wheel 80\100cc 12-15.


GROUP B
4 - Pro Class Riders, All powers
5 - Experts, All powers
6 - Clubmen under 2OOcc 2 stroke & up to 250 4 stroke
7 - Clubmen over 2OOcc

GROUP C
8 - Expert Masters(over 35's)
9 - Clubmen Masters(over 35's)
10-Clubman Vintage (Over 45's)
11 - Ladies, All powers

Group A formed because juniors not permitted to race with seniors. Groups B & C formed to even up the amount of riders on each track at one time.

NOLAN\EK\ROCK OIL CLUB TEAM AWARD-Teams will consist of a maximum of 5 riders with points being awarded for each class as shown. All teams must use an MAQ affiliated club name as part of their team description & all riders in the team must be members of the same MAQ club. Members of club teams must hold their M.A. licence through that same club or must be a financial member of the club. Team entries will be taken on the day. Team scoring points awarded for each rider will be their overall total individual score for the day.

STARTING-There is a Le Mans start for each class one minute apart in the order listed. Engines may be running while at the start line. Only the rider may operate the clutch.

FINISHING-Minimum 50% of class winners laps & cross the finish line within 20 minutes of official class finish. If you D.N.F. a race you may start in any of your other scheduled races.

SCORING-Per race & all individual race points will be tallied for the days results & also the series results.

NOTES-. QESC, with sponsorship assistance from YAMAHA MOTOR AUSTRALIA, will provide all trophies on the day. YAMAHA arrows supplied by MOOROOKA YAMAHA are available to the promoting clubs from QESC.

Yamaha Qld 2 Day Enduro Series

Generally rules are as per A4DE in the Manual of Motorcycle Sport. Local variations are as follows and on the Supp Regs. Riders who DNF on Day 1 may onlly restart on Day 2 in the Rally Class
Individuals Scoring.

For the series a competitors score is the total of that competitors points for the three rounds of the series. For a single round an individuals points are calculated as "Place" points + "Medal" Points.

Clubman are allowed to be up to 1.5hrs behind schedule before they are excluded for being too late.

Team Scoring (both Club and Trade)

Team points = Team place points + team riders medal points
Team riders medal points; Gold = 4, Silver = 3, Bronze = 1
If a team loses 2 riders through DNF's the team is excluded from the team results for that round.
For the purposes of scoring only, the medal colour and classification points will be determined by scoring Clubmen against Clubmen and Expert against the winning rider at the event in their relevant class.
The actual medal awarded at the event will be as per the normal practise of scoring each rider against the winning rider in their combined clubman & expert Class.
Members of club teams must hold their M.A. licence through that same club and must be a financial member of the club on their M.A. Licence.
