 13/11/2009 Perpetual Trophies, we are searching for some for the Yamaha 2 Day Series and for the Pony Express Series. Have a look through your trophy shelf, we need them ASAP for engraving for the 2009 winners.

We need more Clubs to hold events. If you enjoy riding Enduro, then you should encourage your club to host an Event. It is then only fair that you help run such an Event.
There is no magic wand that makes your races happen, it takes people giving their time and effort. You only have to help one race happen for us all to have a full calender. You will get average points and your club will make some money. Contact any one of the Sub Committee members for which details.

31/05/2009 S.E. Queensland Enduro 2009 Rd 3.
Awesome - Tracks like this don't come often. Results.
Successfully trialled was a new innovation in scoring. A local area wireless network was setup in the pit paddock and the scores were regularly updated to a web server. Riders and Supporters were able to view the results on their own laptop computer from their Pit area. Impressively, one young lad was able to view the results on his iPhone, it took him 30 seconds from the start of the setup process to when the scores were displayed.

New Sponsors, new Teaming Rules.
This year Pros can team up with Pros, Experts with Experts, Clubmen with Clubmen, Women with Women etc. Teams with differing grades of rider will have to enter as the highest graded rider in the team. eg. If an Expert rider teams with a Pro, the team must enter the Pro class. Similarly, a Clubman and an Expert team must enter in the Expert Class. Leigh Hutton, of Shooting Star Media, is now the official event photographer for all Queensland Enduro, Sprint Cross-Country, Pony Express and Enduro Cross events. Leigh will be at the next round at Cherrabah, and the rest of the Queensland off-road races this year.

Qld riders shine at the 4 Day. 3 Individual Class winners and 2 winning Teams made for a very successful
4 Day for the Queenslanders.
Grant Siebenhausen, Kirk Hutton and Alison Parker were class winners along with the Junior Trophy team and the
Southside TimeBandits Club Team. Of the 53 Qld starters there were 48 finishers.
Congratulations to all that competed, or helped or supported in any way.
The Queensland Enduro fraternity can be proud of both the great results, and the team work of the Riders and the Supporters.

Bushfires the month before cut down on the usual area the promoters could use, this meant that the course consisted
of lengthy transport (bitumen) sections and overused trail sections. The same 3 tests were used every day multiple times
and it would be fair to say they were flogged before the end of the event. A Senior team member commented that the recent
Qld Championship Enduro at Goomburra featured longer trail time (even though only a 2 day event) and better (less worn)
special tests.

It will be interesting to see if any of the mags investigate the curious make up of the WA team.

01/01/2009 PRE ENTER and SAVE $40
Following the partial success of the $20 surcharge for Entering on the Day last year,
the QESC has approved that the surcharge for Entering on the Day in 2009 will be $40.
Entering on the day will cost you $40 more than if you Pre Enter.
Note that this is applicable for the South East Qld Events only.


29/5/2008 Know of a property that we can use?
In particular we are looking for a property of 1000 or more acres,
preferably within a 2.5hr drive from Brisbane.
All events are covered by MQ's insurance and owners are reimbursed for
the land usage.

Goomburra 2 Day
Near freezing temperatures, rain, wind and blacksoil mud at Goomburra forced the postponement of Yamaha Enduro Championship Rd 2 at Goomburra. The Event was called off before it started with many competitors simply unable to drive their vehicles into the main pit paddock.
