"Denison Star"

General
Constructed from Huon Pine and built by Ray Kemp as a charter vessel which operated on the weest coast of Tasmania for many years. The boat has been kept in excellent order by its present owner. The Denison Star is an extremely economical boat.
 
Machinery
Two 8L3B Gardeners at 230hp each, which have been maintained in excellent condition giving the vessel a cruising speed of 11knots. Auxiliary power is provided with two 35 kva gen-sets in excellent condition also.
 
Capacity
8000 litres of Fuel and 1800 litres of water and a 900 litre per day desalinator.
 
Galley
Galley is top quality. Refrigeration is provided with a large upright twin door fridge/freezer with icemaker etc. Forward of the galley there is leather L shaped Blackwood dining area and bar, storage area opposite.
 
Lounge/Dining
Forward is a large lounge, dining area, as seen above. Two additional fridge/freezers are situated downstairs in the laundry work shop, storage area, with the automatic fire system.
 
Amenities
Toilets are situated at the aft of the vessel, with wheel chair access to the port side and separate toilet and urinal on the starboard side. These are fed into a holding tank.
 
Anchor Winch
The anchor winch is a heavy duty electric with a hand-held remote control unit. Ample anchors and ground tackle are provided.
 
Wheel House
The wheelhouse is situated on the upper deck, with a large entertaining area aft of this. Electronics include a 24nm Furuno radar, Furuno auto pilot with remote to fly bridge, Furuno colour depth sounder and a GPS plotter. CD player with stacker, PA system with speakers through the main deck and the upper wheel house area. An intercom system is located in the wheelhouse, galley, and fly bridge. A mobile phone is situated on the main deck with a second station in the wheelhouse. Steering is mechanical or electric toggle at the helm seat.
 
Entertainment Area
The entertainment area aft of the helm station has been lavishly fitted out in black leather, Birds Eye Huon Pine and polished stainless steel. This area has plenty of storage space, a concealed sink, TV unit and fridge.
 
Accommodation
Accommodation is on the lower deck via a staircase forward on the main deck and comprises of three twin cabins and two double cabins. There is a shower on this level. Refurbishing of this
accommodation is yet to be completed.
