Scripture:

Husbands are told to ;

Gen 2:24 and cleave unto his wife.

Ecc 9:9 Live joyfully with the wife,

Pro 5:15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern,

Pro 5:18 rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

Pro 5:19 [Let her be as] the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.

Mal 2:15 and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.,

Matt 19:5 cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?,

Mar 10:7 and cleave to his wife;

Eph 5:25 love your wives,

Eph5:28 love their wives as their own bodies,

Eph 5:33 so love his wife even as himself;

I Pe3:7 honour unto the wife,

Col 3:19 love [your] wives.

1Cor 7:4 the husband hath not power of his own body.

Wives are told to;

Gene 3:16 and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Eph 5:22 submit yourselves unto your own husbands.

1 Titus 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands.

Titus 2:4 to love their husbands.

Eph 5:33 the wife [see] that she reverence [her] husband.

1Cor 7:3 likewise also the wife unto the husband. (due benevolence).

1Cor 7:4 The wife hath not power of her own body.

1Pet 3:1 [be] in subjection to your own husbands;.

Eph 5:22 submit yourselves unto your own husbands.

Eph 5:24 to their own husbands in every thing.

Col 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

So what does this mean?

God has told us how we are to treat our spouse.

Is every action we do, is it pleasing to God? For if our action are not, what then? Are we no better than the unsaved?

Our greatest example of obedience was Jesus! He was obedient unto death (Phi 2:8). The scriptures have numerous verses of obedience. The short list above are for husbands and wives. The way we should treat our spouse. Take time out when the pressure is reaching boiling point and think of the Jesus on the cross.

Jesus taught that we should love one another as God loves us. Husbands and wives should be the example of God's love. For He made woman for man as a partner in life, side by side, as one flesh. One of reasons that she came from man and was not created separate. Was to be a part of man's life.
1 Peter 3:7 being heirs together of the grace of life,.
I John 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
I John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
