26/1 - Courtney gets into a fight - Courtney Love got into a fight at this years Sundance Film Festival, when a photographer tried to capture her on film. Here's an excerpt from Allstar;
COURTNEY LOVE LASHES OUT AT PHOTOGRAPHER AT SUNDANCE Courtney Love let her celebrity status get the best of her at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah on Wednesday (Jan. 26) when she allegedly grabbed a photographer's camera and threw it to the ground, according to Variety.
The incident happened at a party for Love's new film, Beat, which is screening at the festival. When the wife of Kirk Honeycutt, a journalist for The Hollywood Reporter, snapped a photo of Love as she exited Lakota restaurant, a shouting match ensued before Love allegedly snatched the camera and threw it to the ground. According to the New York Post, Honeycutt called Love "a fucking pig" during the melee.
Love was eventually calmed down by her boyfriend, Jim Barber, and she and Honeycutt apologized to one another without further incident.
1/1/00 - Hole Leaves Geffen According to mtv.com, Hole have left Geffen, the record label with whom they released 3 albums as opposed to their original 5 album contract, and will be signing to an indie label. Hole will "remain independant, releasing their music on the internet". Rumour has it that they may be starting their own independant label.
1/1/00 -Courtney disses Dave Grohl on Howard Stern Courtney and Samantha recently appeared on Howard Stern on the 9th December. Courtney made a huge mouth off about at Dave Grohl, who has insulted courtney in one of his new songs on the latest FOO FIGHTERS album 'There is Nothing left to Lose'. The song "Stacked Actors" about Courtney and her ego. lyrics are -"God bless, what a sensitive mess/Yeah, but things aren't always what they seem/Your teary eyes, your famous disguise/Never knowing who to believe/See through, yeah but what do you do/When you're just another aging drag queen." Love then went on to recite a song she has written about Grohl, and stated that Kurt hated Dave during Kurt's last days. "He hated his guts!" Love said. "For five years I've been quiet about this. [Kurt] loved him at first, because he was sweet, funny and lovely. And then he turned into such a dick. This whirlwind of success was happening for Dave, and he really turned his back on Kurt. His singer had a drug problem, and he wouldn't talk to him, he wouldn't take his phone calls. He wasn't his friend anymore." "I would think he'd have other things to inspire him," said Love, who sang for Stern her response to Dave. "When the drummer tries to sing/Everybody better hide!/When the drummer tries to sing/God, let's all go inside./Oh yeah, all of you that love all things Foo/Dave, I have to tell you/Kurt hated you!"

Also in the August issue of Flaunt, the editor wrote a letter to
VH1 complaining that their list of the greatest women in rock was
incredibly inaccurate. He then gave his opinion of what the top
10 women should have been; a lot of them were jokes, but Courtney
was #1 none the less.

HOLE TO THE RESCUE IN ALBERTA - Yesterday morning, as the Hole tour bus made its way to Calgary for tonight's Edgefest performance, the band witnessed a road accident where a car flipped over. Courtney, wearing her pajamas, and the other members of Hole stepped outside to help comfort the victims. It is reported that Courtney administered first aid to the victims and kept them in their bus until an ambulance arrived. Addressing the reason for Hole's exit, Fine confirmed that the two bands had differed over production costs, but she declined to elaborate.
13/3---Hole Drop Out Of Manson Tour: With currently 6 days into the 'Rock Is Dead' tour and 30+ more dates left to finish, the flaunts have have yet to seize and it looks like they never will. Less than a day after Hole leader Courtney Love took to the airwaves to say her band might be leaving its co-headlining tour with Marilyn Manson, a Boston promoter announced Hole have already dropped off the double bill. Love phoned into MTV's Total Request Live and discussed the problems that Hole and Marilyn Manson have been having. One of their more recent problems during yesterday's performance at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. Courtney Love attributed to "Someone paying her $1,000 not to be sassy", which was pointed in the direction of Manson. "I guess you're sort of waiting for the pyrotechnics show," Love said. "We don't know how to do fire and stuff. We're just a rock 'n' roll band, you little sh--s." Love concluded her onstage comments by implying that she'd "feel like a dork" if her band offered the sort of stage show that followed.
