09:38:23  1997-030-B Iridium 12 -7 Seen flaring at 65 degrees altitude in the east. Very bright flare that I tried to photograph, but was not pointing the camera high enough.
10:05:10  1979-093-B Cosmos 1143 Rocket 3.4 Seen passing 5 degrees west of Canopus. Watched it overtake Cosmos 2278 Rocket. Both photographed near Canopus.
