These are Earthforce ships at the time of the TV show, 2258-2268 AD.
During this period Earthforce is in transition. The Nova and Hyperion are Minbari war generation ships, the Omega is post Minbari war but similar systems, and the end of the period sees more advanced designs taking advantage of new technology from the Alliance. There are two new generation designs here, the Warlock and Advanced Omega. If you are interested in other Earthforce ships, consult the Mongoose Publishing A Call to Arms Fleet Lists.
The Shadow Omegas created under President Clarks rule are a very special case. They never fought alongside other Earthforce ships as far as we know, and it's hard to imagine them mixing with normal human crews. I've listed them as part of the Shadow fleet instead.
Earthforce fighters are highly regarded and the pilots are generally very good. Starfuries may be classed as regular or interceptors. (A few carry missiles in the show, but this doesn't seem at all common.) Badgers are long range. The newer Thunderbolts may be regular, interceptor, or attack. The older Hyperion and Nova only carry Starfuries, not Badgers or Thunderbolts.
