Ken Sutherland is a past chairman of the Sunshine Coast Branch of The Institution of Engineers of Australia.
He completed the Civil Engineering course at night, part time, while working full time with the Water Supply & Sewerage Department of the Brisbane City Council.
He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland, and a member of the Institution of Engineers of Australia, and has over 30 years experience in plumbing and drainage systems, pipework design, pumps, water, sewerage and general construction.
He has worked in design offices, and on construction sites, and has lived in isolated construction camps.
He has worked on staff for Government, Local Government, Contractors, Builders, and Consulting Engineers, giving him a broard knowledge of the system, and all facets of the Construction industry.
Over the last 24 years, he has concentrated on becoming a
specialist in the design of Hydraulic Services for building &
construction.
and has run a successful Hydraulic Consultancy practise for over 12 years.
The practise has now been sold, which left him free for a short time to develop these programs.
He now works as a project manager coordinating the design and construction of a large number of buildings for a private school.
He resides on the Queensland Sunshine Coast.
