Navy Sash, L2, is the last level with new items to learn. It is possibly one of the most difficult and the most interesting levels to cover; but all who have made it this far have successfully completed this last hurdle before attempting Black Sash.
The theme of this level is the Ancient Key to true martial arts, the Three Treasures. You also can examine what you beliefs are, bring them to the surface and re-evaluate; see if what you believe is really what you want to believe! In conjunction with this you also learn to understand how your Persona affect your world.
For the first time we have a look at one of the Neo Traditional Arts, Dim Hsueh (Poison Hands), the more realistic version of Dim Mak, and under no circumstances would le ad to the death of an opponent. Another look at the Shaolin 5 Animals is needed as after this level you will start to focus on at least one of them and you need to know which to choose. The usual Learning Guide and Self Evaluation guidelines round off this levels Theory.
Stances 17 (Mantis) and 18 (Panther) complete your training on Shaolin and Chinese Stance work. With the completion of this level and full understanding of the 18 Stances you will be able to 'Stand like and Oak rooted deeply in the Earth". You also complete your knowledge and skills with two further Blocking Leg techniques and a Body Block; and add to is 4 incredible powerful and somewhat dangerous Double Punch techniques. The Twin palm and Iron Butterfly (Palm) strikes add to your repertoire of open hand techniques together with two devastating breaking techniques (Iron Bar Break and Shin Scissor). You also get to learn and practice the Whirlwind Sweeps, 4 versions as well as 3 Take Downs when you are on the ground but your opponent not.
This is arguably the most interesting level yet!

. . .

Bend back and roll around the attacking fist; and as it is being withdrawn slide outside underneath, grab, toe kick, heel kick targeting pressure points and and iron palm to the side of the skull. This look brutal but is actually very benign as we are using gentle technique targeting safe pressure points.
