Blue Sash, L3, is part of the last three levels. These rely heavily on you having completed all the previous levels well; and knowing your previous levels well.
For all it's Iron techniques in this level, it is focused on advanced Stretch, Agility, Flexibility and Grace to give it that Hard, Soft balance. We again look at your Life Balance, this time . . . Time Mastery. You learn a bit more about Shaolin Kung Fu; principles and Philosophy. And as usual the Accelerated learning Guide 7 and the Level 7 Vital Points.
Many clubs like using the old and over used quote "The Iron Hand in the Soft Glove or Strong as Iron, Gentle as Silk or some such. In essence it is true as you will be learning how to combine to Hard with the Soft, the quick with the Slow and the Long with the Short.
The Inch Thrust, so popularized by Bruce Lee is also in this level, defence against a Long Stick and Baseball/Cricket Bat and 4 different Sparing Styles. By the way, this is a really good time to start using your Kung Fu and if possible entering competitions for both Forms & Sparring. But make sure these competitions are safe, professional and honorable!
The Stances in the previous and on this level are based on the Stance Horse but require 5 - 8 times the strength to perform; you will want to have good Stance Horse & Stance Dragon. For the almost first time you are introduced to Blocks with legs; this also enriches our System of Blocks substantially! Twin punches & strikes is something that is not confined to Shaolin Kung Fu but seems to be the only place where quite a few of them are part of the curriculum. You complete your Standard Palms and get to do some forearm techniques as well as learning the Muay Thai Knee. The Kicks on this level, once learned are devastatingly effective. The Fire (Black Panther) Form finds its roots at least 1000 years ago. As usual a few sparring styles and in self defence you start with ground work; how to get there and the unique and powerful Turtle Self Defence.

The Multibook also covers this level including Pressure Points, Focus and techniques.

A very effective and useful little routine for a person who is not afraid to counter attack when attacked. Side step the attack; arm bar lock; two strategic pressure point strikes, take down and take out.
