Synopses
Purple Sash is already quite an advanced level. The kung fu that you are learning is often presented as post Black Sash in some styles and not at all in others. This is a time where all the effort you put in to become proficient at the techniques so far start to pay off even more than before. This level is dedicated to the Metal Aspect of Elemental Kung Fu and you will be learning a lot of Iron techniques including the Iron Wire Form, Iron Bar Blocks, Iron Ape Punches as well as Iron Crane Crescent Kicks. This is the first preparation level for Black Sash in Shaolin Kung Fu
For all it's Iron techniques, the level is balance between Stretch/Agility/Flexibility/Grace and Toughness. We again look at your Life Balance with Time Mastery, you learn a bit more about Shaolin Kung Fu; also principles and Philosophy. And as usual the Accelerated learning Guide 7 and the Level 7 Vital Points.
Many clubs like using the old and over used quote "The Iron Hand in the Soft Glove or Strong as Iron, Gentle as Silk or some such. In essence it is true as you will be learning how to combine to Hard with the Soft, the quick with the Slow and the Long with the Short.
The Inch Thrust, so popularized by Bruce Lee is also in this level, defence against a Long Stick and Baseball/Cricket Bat and 4 different Sparing Styles. By the way, this is a really good time to start using your Kung Fu and if possible entering competitions for both Forms & Sparring. But make sure these competitions are safe, professional and honorable!
Purple Sash, funny color, very advanced level!

For the 4 advanced Animal Levels you get one complete Workbook. This allows you to choose which of the Animals you wish to do first. In class, this allows us to have every advanced student focus on the same level; rotating through each level every 6 months (or so) to allow all advanced student to grade.

People who attack people are cowards; people who attack smaller and weaker people are great cowards; people who attack unarmed people with a weapon are . . .what's worse than great cowards? Shaolin Kung Fu has a great array of managing armed attackers with bare hands.
