Aromatherapy is the use of natural
aromatic plant extracts, called essential oils. Used for emotional and
physical health and well being, essential oils can be used for the bath,
massage, inhalation, as compresses, ‘magic tissues’, swabs, douches, perfumes,
sprays, foot baths, vaporisation and more.
When travelling by car,
try putting a drop of your favourite oil onto a tissue and tuck it into
the air vent for an aromatic journey. Use Ginger oil to prevent car sickness
in children. There are endless uses for essential oils.
Essential oils in their
pure state are too highly concentrated to be used directly on the skin.
Carrier oils are used to dilute them, so they can be safely applied. Essential
oils should never be taken internally.
A wide range of aromatic
oils is available from the Clinic, and unlisted or unusual oils can be
ordered as well. Accessories such as electric infusers and candle oil burners,
skin brushes, eye cushions, and books are also available. Candles are available
that burn for nine hours and are smokeless.
Essential oils are presented
in 9 ml gift boxes.
