Irrational Behaviour - ATF Pt 3

By Ladysmiths

"What could you possibly want that couldn't wait until tomorrow?" Ezra asked as he followed Chris into his office.

"I wanted to talk to you about Vin," Chris started. "And I thought it would be better if we weren't interrupted."

"Why? What's wrong with Vin?" Ezra immediately became concerned.

"Nothing," Chris answered quickly. "Well, nothing else, he's still pushing everyone away."

Ezra just nodded, Vin had done almost everything but physically shove him everytime the undercover agent approached. The few times Ezra had seen Chris talking with Vin hadn't seemed to help either. Ezra knew that, given the opportunity, he could get Vin to open up. It seemed pretty obvious that Vin knew that too, Ezra was the only one Vin was scared to be left alone with.

"I've seen how his stubbornness is upsetting you," Chris continued.

"Mr Tanner's not upsetting me," Ezra became defensive. Even when he'd thought Vin had used him, Ezra couldn't bring himself to hate the sharpshooter, instead he'd blamed himself for allowing it to happen. However, once Chris had given up the charade and told the truth, Ezra had automatically transferred that anger onto their leader.

"So it's me your upset with," Chris stated rather than questioned.

"Of course. If Vin hadn't been obliged to keep the assignment a secret, he would never have tried to hurt me, he would never have said..." Ezra stopped abruptly.

"Said what?" Chris prompted.

Ezra shook his head, "The point is you allowed Vin to be placed in a potentially dangerous situation alone, you forced him to lie to his friends and leave thinking he was out of favour with the rest of us, and you even gave up communication with him. What if..."

"Chris didn't know we'd be cutting communication," Vin interrupted, he'd been about to leave when he heard his name and headed towards Chris' office instead. "And he didn't force me to do anything. It was my decision, and I chose not to tell you."

Ezra's attention was now wholly focussed on Vin, "I understand Vin, you needed to complete the task and know that the rest of us were safe. I also realise you didn't mean to hurt me before you left, you were just trying to protect me from what you deemed would be greater pain."

"What are you talkin' about?" Vin said as his eyes became blank. "You can't still be going on about that one night stand. Sure I didn't want any of you following me, but sleeping with you didn't make that decision any tougher. Don't tell me that's why you've been trailing me around since I got back. Well, I ain't planning on sleeping with you again, so you can stop."

Ezra winced as he turned away. Vin took a step towards the undercover agent before catching himself, turning and walking out as quietly as he'd entered.

Chris stepped up behind Ezra. Finally, everything fell into place, Ezra and Vin wanted to be together, still did. Ezra had been pining for the sharpshooter, leaving him angry and frustrated. While Vin pushed the undercover agent away out of guilt. Chris had never seen Ezra show so much emotion before, especially hurtful ones, and generally he would have followed Vin and made sure the young man set things right after being so cruel. But he'd also seen the wall Vin had placed over his feelings, and noticed it crack when the sharpshooter had moved towards Ezra before running. Placing a hand on Ezra's shoulder, Chris whispered, "He didn't mean it."

"The assignment's definitely over?" Ezra asked forlornly.

Chris nodded slightly.

Ezra couldn't believe it, he'd been certain that everything Vin had said and done over the past two months had been because he'd cared for the undercover agent. Again, he'd given the sharpshooter the benefit of the doubt, placing all his hope in the belief that Vin would eventually let Ezra get close enough to help him through this. Ezra had been determined to prove that he wouldn't just give up, just as Vin had done when the undercover agent had refused his friendship, now he realised that Vin had avoided him because he didn't want a relationship with Ezra at all.

What was wrong with him? Even though he'd learnt a long time ago that letting people in only caused heartache and anguish, Ezra had allowed Vin to slip through his armour numerous times in just a few weeks. And, as should have been expected, Vin had done nothing but hurt him. As if that wasn't enough, Ezra didn't seem to be able to hide his emotions around the sharpshooter, and even with Chris in the room Ezra knew his pain had been obvious. Mentally shaking himself, Ezra shrugged Chris' hand away, and letting his face fall into a neutral expression, said, "Then I don't see any reason for Mr Tanner to lie, it seems safe to assume that he was speaking honestly."

* * * * * * *

Instead of clearing the air, the discussion in Chris' office a few days ago had only managed to make things worse. Not only was Vin avoiding Ezra, he was avoiding all of Team 7. He refused to have lunch with any of them, wouldn't go to the Saloon with them, and only spoke to anyone when absolutely necessary. In fact, Vin treated all of his friends as though they were mere working acquaintances. Chris could never get Vin alone, and even if he could he had no idea how to broach the subject.

Even though Chris did manage to corner Ezra a couple of times, the only response he ever received was a typical Standish witticism. Although Ezra's anger and snide remarks towards Chris had subsided, and he joined in with the team seemingly happy to be social and amiable, everyone could see the damn poker face he had in place.

The rest of Team 7 didn't know where to turn. They desperately wanted to give Vin space and not crowd him, scared that he'd become more quiet than he already was. On the other hand, Ezra was hiding behind a cloud of fancy words and Southern charm. No-one knew how to get through to the real Ezra when he acted like this, the only one who ever came remotely close to cracking the facade was Vin, and the sharpshooter didn't want anything to do with anyone.

When the Judge had asked Team 7 to clear out a warehouse located close to the mountains that had been used for storing shipments of illegal weapons, Chris had jumped at the chance. Although it was just clean up, getting his team outside and away from the heaviness that lingered in the office seemed like a good idea. Hopefully, all seven accomplishing a task together would help their team spirit emerge once more.

It didn't seem to be working, Chris thought as he watched his team carrying out crates, checking the contents and passing them along to be stacked onto the truck. Not a word was spoken among them, just an occasional nod. Ezra was hovering close to the warehouse checking the crates over before passing them onto Buck, while Vin stayed as far away from the undercover agent as he could, helping Josiah load the truck.

As Josiah went to help JD with a larger crate, Vin turned towards the truck and shuffled some of the boxes lost in thought. He'd watched Ezra working, knowing that usually he'd be the one paired with the undercover agent, probably arguing about who should carry the crates. He missed his relationship with Ezra, hell he missed all of his friends. But Vin just didn't seem to be able to stop himself from pushing them away. Vin could barely believe the hurtful words that were spoken to Ezra were coming from his own mouth, he'd never believed himself capable of causing the undercover agent any pain. However, he had, and to make matters worse he'd done it in front of Chris, causing further embarrassment to both of them.

Suddenly Vin was startled out of his daze by the sound of branch snapping behind him. Forgetting where he was and what he was doing, he automatically spun around drawing his gun. He saw one of them standing in front of him, with other blurred faces hovering in the background. Vin gripped the weapon tighter waiting for the next move, he'd seen what could happen if you let them take you by surprise. And he wouldn't let it happen to him, you had to prove you were tougher and quicker than anyone else, and they seemed to enjoy testing the newer younger members. Vin had already had to prove himself more than once, and he'd become extremely alert and ready to fight anyone at a moment's notice. At least he could handle these kinds of tests. However they'd had to teach Vin never to disagree with how a bounty was being treated and he was certainly never allowed to stop them, that kind of behaviour could almost cause a riot.

JD took an involuntary step back and he stared in horror as Vin pointed the gun at him, "Vin, what are you doing?"

Vin didn't seem to hear him, he just strengthened his hold on the weapon and looked as though he'd shoot if JD even so much as breathed.

Buck looked as if he were about to either pounce on JD to get him out of the way, or alternatively pounce on Vin and wrestle the gun away from him.

Josiah quietly moved up beside Vin, lightly touching the sharpshooters arm, "Vin, give me the gun."

Vin shook himself slightly, "Josiah? What are you doing here?" he asked as he let Josiah take the weapon.

"It's alright son," Josiah said soothingly.

Vin directed his attention on JD, "Jesus, I was going to... I thought JD was..."

The sharpshooter looked as though his legs were about to give way, but Chris was right there and placed an arm around Vin's waist, "It's okay Vin, I'll take you home."

Vin just nodded dejectedly and let Chris lead him away.

Ezra couldn't move as he watched Chris help Vin into the car. Over the past few days Ezra had ached every time he laid eyes on the sharpshooter, however that had been nothing to the hurt he felt when he saw the pain in Vin's face just now. And although he'd resolved never to care for anyone again, the emotions he was feeling now proved that it wouldn't be possible.

* * * * * * *

Chris followed Vin into the apartment, "Do you need anything?" he asked as he watched the younger man sink heavily onto the couch.

Vin just shook his head.

"I'm giving you a few more days off," Chris stated as he lowered himself onto the coffee table in front of Vin.

"I can't imagine anyone would want to see me right now," Vin sounded defeated.

"I just thought you might like some space," Chris was disconcerted by the pained look on the sharpshooter's face. "You know that all your friends would be here if they thought it would help you."

"I almost shot JD," Vin placed his head in his hands. "I didn't recognise... I thought he was going to... What if I'd actually..."

"Are you still seeing someone?" Chris asked.

"Yeah, the shrink the agency assigned" Vin confirmed. "But I still can't seem to do anything but upset the people around me. I'm so sorry Chris."

"None of this is your fault," Chris said. "I should never have let you take on this case alone."

Vin looked up, "I should be able to do my job."

"But not alone," Chris stated firmly. "That's why we're a team."

"I just can't seem to fit in anymore," Vin mumbled forlornly. "Maybe I should..."

"No," Chris blurted. "You can take as much time as you need, but you will always be part of the team, and I know everyone feels the same way."

Vin shook his head, "I don't know. Everything's changed."

"We'll wait as long as it takes, and help in any way we can to get the old Vin back," Chris looked thoughtful. "And I have a feeling Ezra might have the best chance of finding him."

"Ezra?" Vin stared at Chris. "No, I've put him through enough already."

Vin didn't seem to be shying away from the topic, so Chris continued, "I know you didn't mean what you said the other day."

"I knew I had to leave, and I knew I couldn't tell him about the case," Vin stated. "I should never have let it happen, especially when I knew I'd have to hurt him. But I hadn't realised how much I needed him."

"You still do," Chris said matter of factly. "It was just bad timing, Ezra realised that, and it's obvious he still has strong feelings for you. Don't push him away, talk to him."

Chris watched Vin carefully, aware that the young man was listening intently to every word, so he continued, "I've never seen Ezra let his facade slip like it does when he's around you. Whether it's happiness, anticipation, worry, concern."

"Or pain," Vin finished for Chris. "All I ever do lately is hurt him. You know him Chris, it took months for Ezra to believe we really wanted to be his friends. Almost everyone he's known has let him down in some way, and I wasn't any exception. Ezra's had enough betrayal in his life, and he needs to be with someone he can trust not to hurt him. He shouldn't waste his time with someone who could stand by and let... Who would hold a gun on a friend."

"Vin, that wasn't you..." Chris started.

"Let me finish," Vin interrupted. "That devastated look you saw on Ezra's face that day was the second time I caused that expression. When I first left I thought maybe I'd be able to make it up to him when the bust was over, but now I barely have enough strength to cope with everything, and I'm not even doin' a great job of it."

"You're not alone Vin. We're all here for you," Chris stated. "Especially Ezra, he wants you to lean on him, draw from his strength."

"No," Vin shook his head. "Ezra deserves better than me."

"I think that should be Ezra's decision," Chris said as he stood to leave, he'd noticed that Vin was looking worn out, and didn't think the sharpshooter felt up to any more talking. This conversation wasn't going to progress any further, but hopefully he'd think about what Chris had said.

* * * * * * *

Vin wandered aimlessly around his apartment. He'd had a shower and rested after Chris left, trying to forget everything even if it was just for a little while. He had actually felt slightly better, he'd felt even more better when JD had called to tell Vin that he was fine and didn't blame the sharpshooter for what happened that morning. Vin assumed that Chris had suggested the kid call instead of dropping by, and he was relieved that he didn't have to deal with everyone right now. He'd always coped with things on his own, and the quiet solitude helped him sort through his feelings.

Actually, that wasn’t entirely true, if he was to be honest, Vin was feeling lonely. He wondered what he was going to do with the extra time off Chris had given him. Vin had been forced to stay away from his teammates for months, and now that he was back the sharpshooter seemed to be missing his friends even more.

Just as Vin was contemplating finding somewhere to go other than hanging around the confining apartment, there was a light knock on the door. Vin didn't say anything, he just turned and watched as the door slowly creaked open.

"Were you planning on answering the door?" Ezra asked when he noticed Vin staring at him.

"I wasn't expecting anybody," Vin stated as he took a deep breath, getting ready to steel himself.

Ezra saw the wall Vin was trying to put in place, and hoped to jump in before that happened, "What occurred with JD earlier..."

"JD called me," Vin interrupted. "He wanted to come over, but I didn't want all of you showing up all day to rehash what happened. Didn't Chris tell you to leave it be for a while?"

Ezra bowed his head, "I haven't spoken to Mr Larabee, in fact I haven't been into the office all day. If you'd prefer me to leave?"

When he didn't receive an answer, Ezra sighed and backed up towards the door.

Vin didn't want Ezra to leave. As soon as he'd seen the undercover agent entering the apartment, Vin had felt a rush of emotion. Vin had wanted to reach out and pull the other man to him, feel Ezra's arms wrap around him, and to feel the body he remembered so well. Vin took a step forward, "Why did you come here?"

Ezra stopped and looked into Vin's face, it almost sounded as though Vin was desperate for him to stay, but Ezra couldn't trust his instincts when it came to the sharpshooter. Ezra just tilted his head, noticing that Vin's wall did look as though it were crumbling, and that the deep blue eyes had lost their icy edge.

"I mean, I don't see why you'd want to see me after what I said," Vin continued. "All I've done is hurt you."

"I'll admit this is uncharacteristic behaviour on my part," Ezra stated.

"I wouldn't blame you for hating me," Vin added as though he hadn't heard what Ezra had said.

"Hate you?" Ezra sighed. "I could never hate you. I just needed to know you were alright, and to make sure you were aware that you didn't have to go through this alone."

"I don't see why not," Vin mumbled, and then realising Ezra was waiting, he continued. "I lied to you and the others before I left. Then I stood by and let those guys beat... I should have tried harder to stop them, I even shot that last bounty."

"Vin, those bounty's were criminals," Ezra stepped closer and lowered his voice soothingly. "Judge Travis had one of his men following you as backup, he saw what happened with that last bounty. You did what was required to complete the assignment."

"Maybe," Vin shrugged. "But I shouldn't be dumping all of this stuff on you. You deserve better."

Ezra almost laughed, but realised that wouldn't help anybody, "That's why you've been pushing me away? You don't think you're good enough for me?"

Vin nodded his head dejectedly, "I hurt you on purpose, and even sometimes when I didn't mean to."

"I understand all of this," Ezra said. When he saw the flicker of doubt in Vin's eyes, he added, "Maybe not exactly what you went through for the assignment, or all the details concerning the bounty hunters. But I understand having to infiltrate a group of unsavoury characters, and doubting my own character when I'm able to fit in quite easily. Why do you think I kept you and the others at a distance all those months, I couldn't imagine any of you wanting to keep my company. However, you were the only one who persisted and showed me what it meant to have friends to lean on. I noticed the rejected look that fell over your features whenever I imparted some cutting remark of my own, and still you never gave up on me, no matter how hard I pushed you away."

"You're worth it," Vin simply stated.

With those few words Vin had wiped clean everything that had been said and done over the past few months. Vin may have been able to cause Ezra deep pain, but the sharpshooter was also the only person who could make Ezra feel this hopeful. After all this time Ezra still hadn't felt quite deserving of Team 7's friendship, but had eventually accepted it gratefully. This was the first time someone had ever made him feel worthwhile.

"I have a feeling you're also worth it," Ezra moved closer and tentatively placed his hands over Vin's. "I don't usually open myself up for any kind of emotion, and I'm certainly never the one to go chasing after somebody. Until now."

A smile tugged at the corner of Vin's mouth, "Does this mean you're not going to give up on me?"

Ezra smiled, "I learnt how to be tenacious from you." Turning serious Ezra asked, "The other night? Did you regret being with me?"

Vin looked directly at the undercover agent, "I should never have slept with you Ezra." Seeing Ezra's green eyes dim a little, Vin quickly added, "Only because I knew it would leave you feeling even more hurt and confused when I left. But for me, remembering how your body felt against mine, helped me forget where I was most nights. And even if you'd never wanted to be near me again, at least for that one night you looked at me and touched me with..."

Vin stopped as Ezra leaned into the sharpshooter's body and he felt soft lips press onto his own. Opening his mouth to allow Ezra's tongue to explore its depth, Vin wrapped his arms around the body he'd longed to hold once more. Ezra smiled into the kiss when the strong arms encircled him, it felt as though Vin never wanted to let him go.

Breaking the kiss but without leaving the embrace, Ezra manoeuvred himself and Vin towards the bedroom. Sparkling emerald eyes gazed into deep blue ones which had softened with emotion and desire, as Ezra pushed Vin down onto the bed. Ezra's eyes then roamed down the jaw line to the body before him, as he bent to remove Vin's boots. Running his hands up the material of Vin's jeans, the undercover agent deftly undid the buttons and slowly pulled them down. This time it was Vin's flesh that Ezra felt under his fingertips as he once again made his way up the muscular legs of the sharpshooter. He was quick to follow the trail left by his fingers with his tongue and mouth, and Ezra heard Vin's gasp as he finally ran his tongue along the sharpshooter's hardening shaft.

Vin arched into the sensation as Ezra's mouth worked its way around his groin, occasionally sucking on his length and then licking and nipping at his swollen balls.

Reaching up under Vin's t-shirt, Ezra moved up Vin's body and the sharpshooter groaned when the warm mouth left him. Ezra straddled Vin so that he could remove the unwanted garment so that he could run his hands over the sharpshooters lean chest.

As those talented hands brushed over one of the fading bruises on Vin's chest and stomach, the sharpshooter froze. Turning his head away from the undercover agent, Vin was aware of Ezra lifting himself off the sharpshooter and laying beside him on the bed. Vin didn't think he could talk about this now, and once again he had ruined everything, "I'm sorry."

"Just relax Vin," Ezra whispered huskily. "We don't have to do anything you don't want to."

Vin had heard how the southern drawl had thickened with desire, and glanced at the undercover agent, hoping that he wouldn't see pain and concern mar Ezra's handsome face. He'd provoked that expression in Ezra too often lately. However, as he looked up into Ezra's eyes all he saw was a little understanding and a burning desire, and Vin's body melted.

Turning to lie on his side facing Ezra, Vin captured those delicious lips with his mouth, demanding a taste of the undercover agent's warm moist cavern. Ezra answered Vin by sucking the sharpshooter's tongue further into his mouth, causing Vin to fumble with the buttons on the shirt he was trying to undo.

Finally Vin managed to slide the shirt over Ezra's shoulders and throw it to the floor, while Ezra licked his way down Vin's jawline before nuzzling his face in the sharpshooter's neck. As the undercover agent began kissing and sucking where Vin's pulse was beating more and more rapidly, Vin caressed the smooth muscular chest with one hand and reached down under Ezra’s pants with the other. Ezra moaned and immediately began rocking into Vin's hand as the sharpshooter cupped his bulge. Trying to wriggle out of the constricting fabric without losing Vin's touch wasn't working, so Vin removed his hand and grabbed hold of the material instead. As he pushed Ezra's pants over the firm thighs, Vin trailed kisses down the undercover agent's chest, stomach and legs. Once Ezra was completely naked, Vin moved back up the gorgeous form in front of him.

Again, Vin took possession of Ezra's luscious mouth, pressing his body against the undercover agent's. Opening up under Vin's onslaught, Ezra played tag with the sharpshooter’s tongue as he traced his fingers up and down Vin's spine. Lifting one leg and placing it over Vin's, Ezra placed his hands on the sharpshooter's butt and pushed the younger man closer to him, rubbing their erections together. Vin growled into the undercover agent's mouth and began grinding his whole body against Ezra's.

Ezra was panting as he moved his mouth towards Vin's ear, and knowing he couldn't take much more of this began to ask, "Do you have..."

"Bathroom," Vin answered as he heard the desperate whisper and felt the hot breath on his ear.

"I'll be right back," Ezra promised as he reluctantly moved away from Vin.

Ezra emerged from the bathroom noticing that Vin had rolled onto his stomach clutching one of the pillows in his arms, and Ezra grinned as the sharpshooter shuffled a little uncomfortably and spread his legs further apart. Ezra’s smile faded somewhat when he saw that Vin also had some bruising to his upper back. Vin can’t have been seriously injured, the Judge would have mentioned something like that, but Ezra still hated the fact that Vin had been hurt at all. Although, they’d been in plenty of brawls before and bruises on any member of Team 7 wasn’t all that unusual, Ezra realised that it was the fact that he hadn’t been able to fight side by side with his friend that was upsetting him the most. Although it was obvious Vin wasn’t going to divulge anymore information about the bounty hunters again tonight, Ezra hoped that eventually the sharpshooter would open up and let him in.

Placing the tube beside Vin on the bed, Ezra straddled the sharpshooter’s legs and ran his hands down Vin’s smooth back. Adding more pressure as his fingers trailed passed the bruising, massaging the muscle under the skin. Vin began to purr and gripped the pillow tighter. He was glad that Ezra let the bruising go. Vin knew he’d talk to the undercover agent about it, but just not right now, tonight he wanted to forget.

Vin’s train of thought was lost to him as he felt a slick finger work it’s way along his crack, and finally find it’s way inside him. As Vin automatically moved backwards onto the intruders, Ezra reached under him and began to fondle his manhood. Vin missed Ezra’s touch as the undercover agent removed both his hands, but when Vin felt Ezra’s penis replacing the fingers at his entrance, all the sharpshooter wanted to do was drive himself backwards, needing to be filled by his lover.

Ezra watched the muscles in Vin’s shoulders and back roll as, with a growl, the sharpshooter pushed himself onto all fours. Catching Vin’s hips, Ezra drove his rock hard cock deep into the delicious heat. Ezra bent over Vin’s back licking and sucking at the quickly heating flesh of the sharpshooter, wanting to feel as much of the body underneath him as he could, as the undercover agent continued thrusting deeper into Vin.

As soon as Ezra reached under the sharpshooter and gripped his throbbing erection, Vin dug his fingers into the pillows and bedding and shook as he came. Vin’s shuddering reverberated through Ezra’s body, and with one final thrust, Vin felt Ezra’s warm release deep inside him.

Both Ezra and Vin’s bodies relaxed as they slumped forward, their breathing becoming less ragged as they both fell into a peaceful sleep.

* * * * * * *

Ezra woke the next morning, automatically reaching out to his lover. But Vin wasn’t next to him. Standing up Ezra threw on his boxer shorts, and headed for the bathroom to look for Vin and clean up a little.

Slumping back down onto the bed, Ezra placed his head in his hands. Vin had left, and Ezra had woken alone again. Ezra wondered whether he should try to find the sharpshooter realising that in Vin’s mind there was a rational reason for this behaviour, but Ezra was feeling hurt and rejected and until he could shake those feelings he didn’t know if he’d be any help to Vin or himself.

Ezra looked up when he heard the door to the apartment close. Vin came to stand in the doorway with a steaming cup and a bag from the bakery, “I don’t have much food around here at the moment, so I thought I’d get us some,” he stated as he handed Ezra the coffee from Starbucks. “Why do you look so relieved?”

Ezra took a sip of the hot liquid and smiled, “You bought my favourite coffee.” And after grabbing one of the danishes from the bag and taking a bite, added, “I also hadn’t realised how hungry I was.”

Vin watched as Ezra ate his breakfast with somewhat over-exaggerated enthusiasm, “No, you almost looked as if....”

It dawned on Vin what Ezra must have been thinking, and he slumped down next to the undercover agent, “I left you.”

“And you came back with food,” Ezra smiled, he didn’t want Vin to dwell on this. Usually Vin would have had some sarcastic comment ready whenever Ezra jumped to the wrong conclusions, and it was a little disconcerting to see the sharpshooter taking everything to heart.

“I’m so sorry,” Vin mumbled, mentally kicking himself. The first time they’d been together he’d purposely left Ezra to wake up alone, of course that would be the first thing Ezra would think of as he woke up to an empty bed once again.

“You could make it up to me,” Ezra drawled.

Vin gave Ezra a sidelong glance noting the grin that had spread across the undercover agent’s face.

“You have to promise not to leave this bed for the whole day,” Ezra stated.

“What’s the point of that?” Vin asked. “Don’t you have to go to work?”

“Mr Larabee won’t mind if I take a day off,” Ezra answered taking another sip of the coffee.

“What about lunch and dinner? I didn’t bring enough food for the whole day.”

“You stay here, I’m capable of obtaining any sustenance we may need.”

“What if I have to go to the bathroom?”

“That doesn’t count as leaving, you can have bathroom breaks.”

“What about...”

“How about we discuss these possibilities as they occur,” Ezra drawled. “Just resign yourself to the fact that you’ll be taking residence on this bed all day.”

Vin crawled passed Ezra to the head of the bed, and leaned back against the pillows.

Ezra watched as Vin made himself comfortable, “Did I mention that you are also to stay completely naked,” Ezra grinned and then turned his back on Vin to finish his breakfast.

Vin had undone the front of his shirt before he realised Ezra wasn’t paying any attention, “Are you sure you wouldn’t prefer to spend the day with the danish?”

Ezra turned around again ready to impart some remark, when his eyes fell on the lean hard chest. Dropping the danish, Ezra pounced on Vin.

Catching Ezra as he landed on the sharpshooter with such force, Vin just managed to capture Ezra’s mouth with his own, but was unable to keep himself from sliding to the side. Both Ezra and Vin tumbled off the bed, dragging most of the sheets and pillows down with them.

“Does this count as leaving the bed?”
