Introduction
Thank You...
This website has been compiled to demonstrate to the family what their roots are, as far as I've been able to establish.
I have received information and assistance from many people over the years of attempting to put a family history together. This includes direct family members and other more distant relatives researching the Excell, Baird and North families in particular. Many thanks for all your valuable input.
What's included on this website?
As well as direct ancestors, I have also included, where possible, information about their brothers and sisters.
I have omitted any details of their great-grandchildren for privacy reasons.
The website includes information about the following people:
Charles Henry Excell Wilkinson:
his father, Charles Augustus Wilkinson and his ancestors; also his brothers and sisters;
his mother, Mary North and her ancestors. This line goes back to convicts from Ireland in the 1820s and beyond;
his paternal grandmother, Ann Excell and her ancestors for several generations back to the 1600s; also her brothers and sisters.
Isabella Jane Peacock:
her mother, Ann Baird and her ancestors back to the early 1700s; also her brothers and sisters and their families;
her father David Peacock and his family.
In the process I have discovered a number of convicts, going back to the First Fleet.

What next?
There are many gaps. I am particularly looking for personal recollections of Charles and Isabella's children.
I would also like to obtain copies of as many photos as possible - just people doing ordinary things. They don't have to be professional photos.
I hope that this website will be a stimulus to others to add to the collective memories of the wider Wilkinson and Peacock Families. Any personal anecdotes, pictures or other memorabilia would help the history come alive.
Please also let me know of any errors so I can correct them.
