| NEAME DISLIKED the Australian troops. He thought the Australians weren't well disciplined. Neame and General Morshead had some run-ins - Morshead being very proud of his troops and more than willing to stick up for them. When Neame was captured with General O'Connor some Australians considered it only half a disaster. His capture was partly due to him becoming lost. Neame drove a huge white Cadillac which he inherited from Jumbo Wilson. |
