  THREE SECTORS were described, each occupied by a brigade. Each sector was also assigned a regiment of field artillery supplemented with "Bush Artillery".

In the western sector, the 24th Brigade was supported by 51 Field Regiment and 2/11 Field Ambulance Dressing Station near El Adem Road.

In the southern sector, the 20th Brigade was supported by 1 and 107 Royal Horse Artillery and 2/8 Field Ambulance Dressing Station at Fort Solaro.

In the eastern sector, the 26th Brigade was supported by 104 Royal Horse Artillery and 2/3 Field Ambulance Dressing Station at Wadi Auda.
