Infantry Division |
The 2nd Australian Imperial Force (AIF), like the 1st in WWI, was made up entirely of volunteers. Four divisions were formed during WWII.
The 20th, 24th and 26th Brigades made up the 9th Australian Division.
Major-General Morshead was commander of the 9th Division. The 18th Brigade from the 7th Australian Division was also attached to the 9th at Tobruk. Also attached were:
