Australian Infantry Brigade  |
| PART OF THE 7th Division. The 18th was seconded to the 9th Division for the defence of Tobruk. Replaced by 1st Battalion Polish Carpathian Brigade. On 9th April Lavarack decided to keep 18th Brigade in reserve (along with armour). Lavarack also asked for the rest of the 7th Division to assist in the defence of Tobruk - his request was unsuccessful. |
7 April 1941 - By the 7th the 18th Brigade had arrived in Tobruk - mainly brought in by sea. |
