| No-man's-land |
| THE TERRITORY between two opposing armies is called no-man's-land. It is bounded by the front line of each army. No-man's-land is usually a hazardous area. This is because any attacking force has to cross no-mans land. Any prudent defender has artillery ranged on the area. |
