The time seemed to fly past as one went from one place to another so that it has only been possible to record some of the activities. It was evident that the children were having a fine time, collecting things to keep for the trip home from the Resource Van, having their faces painted, having rides on horses and ponies, travelling around in the coach and other horse drawn vehicles. Some of the children were suprised and delighted to have their wagon pulled over by a mounted policeman in the uniform of the second half of the 19th Century. Let us look at just some of these activities.
![]() A Coach ride was a must for the children. The coach horses were a great attraction. This Coach was part of a line run by W. Thomas from Nymagee to many of the villages to the south and west. |
![]() Take a wagon ride to Early Gilgunnia Village. |
![]() Announced and led out by the Town Crier. |

![]() Lining up for the judging. |
We will leave this afternoon with a visit to the display of children's art contributions.
They come from many schools and from many individuals.
The colours are vivid and the abilities displayed are wonderful.

What better for the evening than a twilight spit roast followed by musical entertainment and impromptu performances by members of the audience! Roars of laughter and much applause was a wonderful way to finish the evening, followed by a well-earned rest in tents, caravans and cars until next day.
