Hopefully these few links will give my pals overseas, the flavour of what is available on the WWW about Family History Research in Scotland. The GRO and
Scots Origins has "everything"!!
The arrival of the LDS "familysearch" on line facility has added a new dimension to reconstructing family groups, throught the careful use of Batch numbers. This allows the progressive searching of OPRs for siblings who might be expected to feature in the same Register!
The Cultural Resources and the Satistical Accounts are each major projects just brought forward, which will be of enormous assistance to family historians.
