| History: When "Blood" started at Le Joke Jean Kittson, a B.Ed.(Drama and Media), was already on familiar terms with Melbourne's comedy scene. After returning from two years overseas she decided to restart her acting career by creating and performing her own characters at Le Joke "try out" nights. "Blood" followed soon afterwards. In the late Eighties Jean rose to national prominence in the ABC show "The Big Gig" where her sharply observed television characters - the New Age "Candida" and newsreader Veronica Glenhuntly, struck an instant chord with viewers and critics alike.Since then Jean has performed in countless productions for stage, screen and radio, including Midsummer Night's Dream in Melbourne's Botanic Gardens and as the lead in David Williamson's "Siren".
