|
| History: A graduate of the Victoria College of the Arts in drama and a
postgraduate in film and television, David's acting style strongly reflects his love of
slapstick comedy and his background in acrobatics and stunt-work. David landed his first acting job with a Theatre-In-Education team in Tasmania and then moved on to performing and directing with several theatre companies. David's first appearance in the totally improvised stage version of "Blood" was as a motorcycle rider who had been hit by a bus. David and fellow actor Rick McKenna promptly improvised a scene where, to the horror of his fellow cast and audience, he ripped open Rick's stomach spilling plastic bagful of bloody offal all over the stage. When the original Dr Richard Dick, Mark Cutler was unavailable for the TV version, David stepped into the role. David won Best Short Fiction and Best Short Film Screenplay awards at the Australian Film Institute Awards for his short film "Bonza." and is now directing his first full length feature. |

DR. RICHARD LOVECHILD
|
On the surface Dr Lovechild seems shallow, but deep down, he is totally superficial. Handsome, suave, witty, intelligent and rotten to the core, nurses find him irresistible. Once a brilliant young doctor with the Nobel Prize in his sights, his passion for medicine has been eclipsed by his lust for money, golf and women. To Lovechild, women like Nurse Effie are objects to be used and discarded, that is until he sets eyes on the purest and most saintly woman he has ever seen. Nurse Pam Sandwich. |
