ICARE's goal continues to remain long-term development, concentrating on the education for the children, creating a stable environment where they can learn skills which would make them self-reliant in life.
School facilities continue to be upgraded, income-generating projects are running smoothly which enables the schools themselves to be self-sufficient and secure in their future.
Parents are learning the skills of installing bore-holes, wells and water storage tanks; building VIP latrines which provide a safe level of sanitation and hygiene; agricultural projects etc.
The popular Micro-credit project is committed to its purpose of providing financial assistance to deserving and qualified small scale women-entrepreneurs.
Jam-making, sewing, hair-dressing and marketing are all skills being taught to the communities and it continues to work very well.
Families are now able to generate an income which they never had before.
These programs are combating debt and helping families break the cycle of poverty.
