Personal information means information provided by sponsors or donors or potential sponsors or donors including the following:

(ii)          Telephone number(s)
(iii)         Email address
(iv)         Credit card details
(v)          Bank account details
(vi)         Donation history
(vii)        Survey completed by some donors

ICARE will only collect personal information that is necessary for one or more of its activities and only by lawful and fair means.

ICARE holds personal information for the purpose of receipts, audits, processing donations, bank inquiries, sponsor or donor inquiries and for mailing out newsletters, appeals and correspondence from sponsored children.

Information is collected by membership forms, donation slips, survey forms, other correspondence, telephone communication and face-to-face communication.

Information is held on computer data base and in hard copy form.
ICARE does not sell or provide personal information to any other organisation, company or individual.

ICARE will only collect information about an individual from that individual.

ICARE will take appropriate measures to ensure that information collected and stored is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

ICARE will take appropriate measures to protect personal information it stores and uses from misuse, loss and unauthorised access or modification.  ICARE cannot absolutely protect personal information from misuse by criminals who unlawfully access the information.

ICARE will destroy or permanently de-identify personal information which is no longer needed.
