Favourite Webstrips of mine, in no specific order.
Girl Genius - By Phil and Kaja Foglio. Victorian-style steampunk fantasy with lavish helpings of comedy, tragedy, giant robots and MAD SCIENTISTS. It began as a popular printed comic, but has now switched to online - the exact reverse of most webcomics.
User Friendly - Techie, geekish, office and Help Desk style humour - with occasional appearances by Cthulhu.
Sluggy Freelance - What is it about? Well, there are some people sharing an apartment - the two main guys are kind of slackers ,and one of them is an "inventor" (well OK, a sanity-deficient scientist), and there have been demons and extra-dimensional carryings-on, and a sociopathic talking rabbit (with a gun) was also a regular character, and ... Oh, heck, read it yourself.
Evil, Inc. - So, what happens when a supervillain sets up his own corporation? Something like this, perhaps. Kind of 'Doonesbury' and 'Bloom County' doing supers, and sort of meeting 'Dilbert' along the way.
Doonesbury - A classic comic strip, and a long-time favourite of mine. Been passing social / political comment in the USA for nearly thirty years, and it can still raise a laugh.
A Miracle Of Science - Another future. Mankind has colonized much of the Solar System, and the greatest danger we now face are ... (BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!) M-A-D SCIENTISTS!!!
Personal note: Looking back, I now start to wonder if I have a previously unconscious obsession with Mad Scientists. After all, they feature prominently in many of the above strips, and have appeared in most of the remainder. Maybe I am sicker than I realize .....
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!
