DESCRIPTION:  Female Anglo.  5'8", 75 kg.  Blue eyes, shoulder-length dark brown hair.  Asian dragon tattoo around left shoulder (approx 20 cm in length).  Attractive in an understated way ('Girl Next Door?').  No visible cyberware other than her interface plugs.  Routinely dresses in Edgerunner / Urban Flash style.

CLOTHING / EQUIPMENT:  Jeans & T-Shirt (SP 10), Sneakers (SP 10, Fireproof), Armor Jacket ('Flying Tigers' style, SP 14), Smart Goggles (Anti-Dazzle, Image Enhancement, Target Scope, Teleoptics), 'Bearcat' Self Bow (w/smartlink & low-impedance cables) + Quiver of arrows (mixed), Kendachi Monokatana-2, old-style Colt .45 (w/API rds), Survival Knife, Personal Journal (book).

PERSONAL:  Michelle Louise Stauffenberg, born 6/6/1997.  Corporate family (Orbital Air), brought up in corporate suburbs around the US.  Stable family life, with two older siblings (brother and sister).  Michelle had an undistinguished academic record despite her intelligence, but showed great aptitude in martial arts and archery.  Much to her family's horror, she rejected various sponsorship offers upon graduation; taking a series of jobs as martial arts instructor, bodyguard, and bouncer.

 From there, it was a relatively short distance to becoming a Solo.  The handle of 'Musashi' came from her preference for archaic weaponry, and her career has been fairly typical so far.  The most noteworthy event has been partial amnesia - seven months are unaccounted for between just after leaving a Nomad pack she befriended, and waking up on the Night City Transit System, minus all of her skill chips, and with the pages for that time torn out of her diary.  Medical examination showed that she had only just recovered from a mild concussion, and she has picked up a basic skill in 'Cyberart' from somewhere.  In the year since, nothing bad or good seems to have eventuated, and investigation has not turned up any leads, but the entire thing still has Musashi spooked.

 In personality, Musashi is a comparitively stable, upbeat (MAJOR contrast to the genre!), but rather private, individual.  She reads extensively, likes (most) people, and enjoys teaching enough that she hopes to eventually set up her own dojo.  In the meantime, to borrow a good quote, "...The money's good, the scenery changes, and they let me use explosives...".  She would like to visit space, but doesn't see this happening anytime soon.

 No drug use, but has been known to "weird out" others with bizarre drinks (which her Cyberliver and Toxin Binders cope with).  Fairly even-tempered, but has definite limits.  Once shoved a stenchbomb down the pants of somebody, in a crowded bar, who really p***ed her off...

  Musashi could do well as an assassin, but there aren't that many people she hates enough to do it professionally.  Instead, she specializes in support work for solo groups - ie. "counter-battery fire" (sniping at the opponents with the biggest guns) and "close-in" (melee).  Her arrows usually include a few with pistol grenades fitted (flashbangs are her personal favourite).  

NOTE:  This Character began as an experiment.   For starters, I have a ....er...ah... weakness for gorgeous female martial artists.  It also seems deeply creepy to me how most Characters in Cyberpunk RPGs consistently have adequate organic body parts replaced in favour of cybernetic substitutes.  Seeing the limitations of Borged-out psychos (as well as the advantages of martial arts and archaic weaponry), I tried for a different direction.  A few basics were established and, for 'optional extras', anything potentially useful with low HC and minimal maintenance requirements were added.  It has worked well.

  Musashi is ideally suited to "low-key" situations but, given the right circumstances (always rare, admittedly), could arguably give even a Full-Conversion a run for its money.  She'd make a handy assassin (creation took place long before I found out about Haruko of Kanawa Corp!), and can "live off the land" better than many other Street Samurai.   All while still being capable of basic social interaction.

  Note that all of her cyberwear is "street legal".  That is, Musashi has no black market items at all - not even greyish.  Of course, in the world of 2020, if a Cop / Security type is determined to bust you on some pretext, he / she / it probably will regardless of your sterling qualities.  But a clear conscience and total lack of evidence gives a definite psychological edge in normal circumstances.  My own experience, anyhow...

  Funnily enough, with all the pluses she gets (versus gas, poison, drugs, and disease), Mushashi can survive in some pretty adverse environments.  Chances are she could skinny-dip in Night City's sewers, and suffer nothing worse than a loss of lunch and all interest in dinner.  In the world of Cyberpunk, you never know when a capability like that will save your life....
