The Butterfly

There is nothing to compare to the beautiful and gracious
butterfly. Its elegance surpasses that of all other insects.
Clothed in rich and delicate colours, butterflies go from flower to flower drinking in the sweet liquid called nectar. At the same time, they make it possible for flowers to develop into fruits and seeds by carrying pollen from one flower to another.

How amazing it is to believe that en
exquisite butterfly was once a wormlike creature called a caterpillar. Caterpillars eat leaves and fruit and can
do immense harm to crops. Butterflies do no harm at all
because they no longer have the ability to bite or chew. They have been
transformed into “flying gems” to grace the plant life. |

What a wonderful
illustration from God’s creation this is for us. Jesus loves and accepts us in
our “caterpillar” state and then as we drink in the sweet “nectar” of His
abiding presence and feed on His Word we are transformed into
“His likeness with ever
increasing glory…” 2 Cor 3:18
