Status
  • As from the 2007 AGM the Society is now in "care-taker" mode with a view to its dissolution.
Aims:
  • To support the study of the genealogy and family history of persons with the Morgan name, particularly of those in Australia.
  • To collate the family tree information of members and to support members in finding links to their family trees.
  • To share the genealogical experiences of members and to publish articles of interest through the Society's newsletter Aussie Link.
Formation:
  • The Morgan Society (Australia) was formed in Brisbane, Queensland, during February 1995 following a meeting of interested persons organised by our founder, the late Ralph Morgan.
Affiliation:
  • With The Morgan Society (England & Wales), both of which are affiliated with The Morgan Society.  The Morgan Societies of Scotland and Ireland are at present at an embryonic stage and managed by the England & Wales societies.
Membership:
  • Membership is no longer being sort.
Constitution:
  • Functions and activities of the Society are guided by its constitution.
Newsletter:
  • Given the change in status of the Society our newsletter Aussie Link will no longer be distributed.
