We
are in Mexico yet again and it has been a fun
ride.
The Mexicans are a friendly bunch of people. Kathryn managed to get a new boyfriend in no time. He was very sweet but sadly came to a fatal blow but I will tell you about that later.

Where else but Mexico are you going to find buildings painted pink, orange with a trim of blue and yet it all works somehow?

Elections will soon be held in Mexico and everywhere you look there are campaign posters for prospective presidents.

Some are a little abstract like this one? Something about turning on the light bulb in your head?

And then there is this approach...

Most people here speak Spanish and little or no English so sometimes things get a bit lost in translation. This was meant to be a steak with veggies. I must admit turning it into a face was pure gastronomical genius.

We first performed in Tampico, an industrial town with a port by the ocean. To give you an idea of the place, here is the souvenir shop in the hotel we were staying in.

Needless to say, I bought up big. After our show we were privileged to see a Mariachi band perform traditional Mexican music.

Next we went to perform in Ciudad Victoria. We asked for some laborers to assist us with the set up and they arrived with Machetes in hand.

The trunks of the trees in the park near where we performed were draped in coloured tulle. At night they looked great under light.

I managed to find a new make up mirror and it came in very handy.

We then travelled to Nuevo Laredo and performed in front of the Municipal Buildings.

I was very impressed with the way people park around here. You should have seen this donkey reverse parallel park this cart. It was inspirational.

Now back to the sad and tragic tale of the demise of yet another of Kathryn's boyfriends. It all started when we decided to throw a birthday party for Paul at a place called El Rancho.

We were having a great night drinking Tequila and drinking more Tequila and all of a sudden a scuffle broke out between Paul and Kathryn's late Mexican beau.

Sneaking up behind him Paul whacked the unsuspecting opponent with a stick. He didn't see him coming and what followed could only be described as horrific!

WARNING ! You may find the next image disturbing and it may offend some viewers.

You could hear a pin drop, well actually you couldn't hear a pin drop because the band was playing so loud and everyone was coughing up a lung laughing but I have to admit, the lollies tasted good.
Well that's it for another Mexican adventure. Next month we are off to Beijing where I will be performing in drag as a female synchronized swimmer. That mirror sure is going to come in handy.
All the best,
George
