Hong Kong 2006 | George Filev

Honkers.

Hello from Hong Kong! We were brought here to perform for Cathay Pacific's 60th Birthday party. Hong Kong is a really busy place. There are heaps of office buildings and at night time they do this really cool thing. There is a lighting show that happens all over the city. The lights are all computer controlled and synchronised and it looks spectacular.

They also have trams here and they are special little double Decker trams.

They have markets all over the place and you can shop till you drop. You can buy anything on the street, even a kitchen sink.

Well we only had to do one performance and then back on the plane to Melbourne. It was nice to get a taste of Hong Kong, Had some great meals at little cafés, did a bit of shopping and took a boat trip on the harbour. That's about all I had time for. By the way, if you ever have the opportunity to fly out of China, I suggest you go online and check in over the Internet 24hours before your flight because China is the only place in the world that allows airlines to overbook their flight. This means you could turn up at the airport to find out there is no seat for you and you have to stay in a hotel till they can get you on another flight. Lucky for us, our flights were booked and paid for by Cathay Pacific so they managed to get us on the plane.

Next gig in Shepparton!! Then Qatar here I come.

George
