During this tour
of North America, I got to die on stage 72 times.
That might be a horror story for some actors but
for me it was pure joy and that is exactly how I
would describe Denver, Colorado. Wish I could
have spent more time there but I had to go die on
stage somewhere else.

You never know what kinds of people you will meet on a tour and every place is different. In Denver we were blessed to be looked after by Jim and Lori Taggart from the Cherry Creek Arts Festival and they looked after us like we were family. Thanks heaps Jim and Lori, good job! You were Awesome!

We were performing in Denver at the same time as Cirque Du Soleil were performing Corteo and the lead performer Jeff Raz came and saw our show. He liked it so much he arranged for us to come and see him perform and it was a wonderful show.

After Denver we were off to our final destination on the tour, New York City.

Went and visited the Lady waiting in the narrows....

Went up the Empire State Building....

Did time in Time Square, what a crazy place that is and it's best seen at night....

Got a bite to eat at a local shop for local people....

Went to MOMA and was blown away by the fantastic art pieces on display, especially the work of Richard Serra.

Not to mention the rest.....

I take it this is the cup you drink the hair of the dog from?

Couldn't resist getting in front of The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh.
The World Trade Centre is still being re-constructed after 9-11.

The last place we performed in was Brooklyn and apparently they transfered all the remains from the WTC site to a warehouse near where we were and they are continuing to sift through remains to identify those lost.
Our site for the last gig had a backdrop of the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan in the background.

Here we are after the last show, left to right, Vicki Kromer (Tour Manager), myself (George Filev), Kathryn Jamieson, Paul Bourke, Amelia McQueen and Michael Carr (Production manager).

After a tour like this has ended, it is time to party, and the best way to party in NYC is with A Fro !

What a fun tour. The USA is a really diverse place from its landscapes to its people. I had a blast on this tour and hope to return to the states again some time and do some more touring.
Back home now and will be helping launch the new Harry Potter book number 7 in Melbourne.
Will let you know how it all goes.
