Word Lists

If you want to improve your Scrabble prowess, you are going to have to learn new words. There are over a quarter of a million words in the current Collins Scrabble Words list that serves as the reference for all Scrabble countries outside of North America, Thailand and a few others. Study lists may be found in almost all of the Scrabble websites and all of the book titles devoted to improving your Scrabble prowess. Study lists may also be generated from software such as Zyzzyva or Lampwords (for Palm handheld devices).

We believe the best and most comprehensive topical word lists on the planet have been compiled by David Sutton and made available on his ABSP page.

We won't try to duplicate his efforts here but we will try to offer some of our own lists that cover topics that may be somewhat quirky or parochial.
