The original Bottom Road of the Zig Zag still forms the Main Western Railway from Sydney to Perth. There is a small main line station at Bottom Points, where electric interurban trains make request stops. |

Occasionally main line rail tours operate to the Zig Zag. Here 5910 (2-8-2) and 3642 (4-6-0), from the NSW Rail Transport Museum, travel along the original Bottom Road after setting down passengers at Zig Zag station.
