How to make images 

into animation

Step 1:
  • keep 'Apple Works Office' document open
  • click on OPTIONS then HIDE GRAPHICS GRID
  • open 'PaintShop Pro'
  • click on CAPTURE then START (SHIFT_C)
  • scroll document so can see all of first image
  • position mouse in one corner
  • RIGHT click then LEFT click and let go
  • move mouse to draw tight frame around image 
  • watch the dimensions; use similar for all images

  • (identical frame is perfect but hard to do)
  • click LEFT mouse button to complete the 'grab'
Step 3:
  • open 'Paintshop pro: Animation'
  • click on FILE then ANIMATION WIZARD
  • keep clicking on NEXT, keeping defaults UNTIL...
  • change timing from 10 (1/100th of a sec) to 4 
    (can experiment with this)
  • click ADD IMAGE when white blank box appears
  • select the first image SANTA1
  • hold SHIFT and click on SANTA4 
    (or whatever the last image is)
  • all images should now be highlighted
  • click OPEN, NEXT, FINISH
  • click on ANIMATION button to see animation
  • save with a name using 'ani' (eg SANTAani)
  • NEXT, NEXT, FINISH
Step 2:
  • captured image will appear in 'PaintShop Pro'
  • click on FILE then SAVE AS
  • give the image a name (eg Santa1)
  • change the file type to GIF
  • repeat Steps 1 and 2 for each image
  • save at least 4 images for animation
Step 4:
  • save using ANI as part of the file name 
  • insert into a web page
  • position cursor, click on INSERT IMAGE button
  • animation can be centred and resized
  • RIGHT click on image 
  • then click on IMAGE PROPERTIES 
  • change dimensions keeping in proportion
