ZERO uses the 'look say cover write check' method.
Players are shown a word, the word is spoken within a sentence then the word is hidden and the player must type it in within 15 seconds. If it isn't typed within the time limit the word is displayed.

ZERO has 10 word lists in 10 levels (1000 words) with another 10 levels for you to add your own words. The 1000 words included are ordered according to written usage, rather than 'families' or other methods. All word lists are customizable via the 'Set' button. 

Sound files for the first 100 words are included and you can simply add your own files by recording .mp3s into the sounds folder. 

2020 Improvements (suits the visually impaired)
Edit your spelling lists on screen, plus save and load your personal lists.
Change the time to type... just wave your mouse at the egg timer.
Adjust the lettering and background colours to suit your eyes and monitor. (wave your mouse at the top of screen)
