The bull represents a rising market and the bear a falling one. The lines on the side of the stand represent rising prices (reading from left to right) when the bull is on the top. By turning the stand through 180’ and putting the bear on top and the bull on the bottom, the lines then represent a falling market (again reading from left to right). |
