TEST 159 - Female
This is the Horoscope of a woman born in Jamaica, New York, on
14 April 1958, at 9 am EST (+5:00).
If you had this young woman as a client, what would you forecast for her for the
month of January 1980? An important event did occur.
The correct Forecast will be posted to this Website on
15th August.
Use your own choice of method and/or Chart. Answers emailed to me will be graded according to how closely they approximate the chief happening of the month:
Category 1, the actual event;
Category 2, an “either/or” answer, one being correct;
Category 3, a list of possibilities, one being correct;
Category 4, the event not specified but judged as either positive or negative.
My offer stands to email the appropriate
month Age-Harmonic Chart to anyone who requests it (no charge or obligation). Age Harmonics are the cutting edge of Astrology – the most marvellous astrological technique ever discovered.
ANSWER
She had been partying with a friend at a club in New York. They came out of the club and entered the NYC subway at 34th Street on January 14th, 1980, around 8:30 am.
She fell on the tracks and was killed.
Of course this is not what you would predict for your client. But you could say: "Your Chart shows a propensity to an accident in January. Be extra careful this month when in traffic or in any dangerous situation".
To do a Forecast using Age Harmonics for January 1980, two Month-Harmonic Charts would be required to cover the whole of the month
(14 Dec 1979 - 14 Jan 1980 and 14 Jan 1980 – 14 Feb 1980).
Examine them and select the Chart with the most dramatic Aspects.
Here they are:
MONTH HARMONIC 1

MONTH HARMONIC 2

The second Chart would obviously be selected for analysis as the more dramatic of the two.
The two
Dominant Aspects are SUN SQUARE URANUS and MARS TRINE SATURN, selected from all others and standing out because of having
narrow orbs , being
major Significators and
powerfully placed close to an Angle or intermediate Cusp.
(Sun-Uranus 21' S, Mars-Saturn 28' A).
All other inter-planetary Aspects have much greater orbs, apart from any other consideration, e.g.,
Venus opposite Neptune 1°1' S.
Mercury sextile Jupiter 1°4' S.
The first and most importantAspect is the Sun on the Ascendant square Uranus (orb only 21').
Sun-Uranus is above all, ACCIDENT.
The Sun being right on the Ascendant states that the accident is
to the native -- her physical body.
Saturn in the 8th House trine Mars (ruling the 8th House) is an Aspect of VIOLENCE. The emphasis on the 8th House means DEATH.
So it was a fatal accident.
(Pluto, The Destroyer, in the 8th House conjunct Saturn emphasizes this).
A number of respondents answered that the Native’s father was injured. This is specifically negated by the Age Harmonic Chart where the Ruler of the 4th House (Jupiter) is well-placed and not afflicted. On the contrary Jupiter has favourable Aspects – sextile Mercury and sextile the Floating MC.
Answers from Participants
These Tests have progressed from a useful but somewhat artificial type of question to an exercise in real forecasting - the sort of thing an astrologer is required to do for a client. The majority of the public judge the truth and value of Astrology only by its accurate predictions.
Predicting is indeed difficult and the number of astrologers attempting it, especially those who are prepared to put their findings in writing is reduced. However, I did receive 18 attempts. Answers encompassed a wide range of events including house removal, death of mother, childbirth, pregnancy, love affair, travel, met boyfriend, marriage, a positive event, death of child, breast surgery, death of father, married wealthy man.
In assessing the answers, I have counted it correct if
an accident to the native was predicted even if not seen as fatal.
Category 1 (the correct answer)
Irene Knudsen (Hamburg, Germany):
I took the Harmonic Chart of the 14th of January 1980, because it has more dramatic aspects.
I think that the woman had an accident!
Uranus on the 4th Cusp square Sun/Asc, sudden attack on her physical body; traumata.
Saturn ( Ruler of the 6th) in the 8th House, sickness and operation.
Saturn trine Mars in the 12th House, injury, bones and hospital.
Category 2 (either/or, one being correct):
Catherine Thomas (New York City, NY):
In the Age Harmonic Chart of 14 Jan 1980, The Sun is conjunct the Ascendant square Uranus in the 4th House, Stationary Direct, pointing to a sudden illness/accident which involved a visit to the hospital.
Could this have been a cerebral hemorrhage brought on by a sudden blow to the head due to an accident in the home (Sun conjunct Ascendant square Uranus Stationary Direct on the Cusp of the 4th House) that lead to a hospital visit, Mars in the 12th, Ruler of the 8th, trining Saturn in the 8th in Aries.
Though Mars trines Saturn (which widely conjuncts Pluto), both of these planets are malefic and placed in death Houses, I'm thinking that the young lady died unexpectedly due to her injuries.
Congratulations to all those astrologers who struggled with this difficult Test. Those who did not find the answer have probably gained an insight that will help them in future Tests of a like nature.
