TEST 151-Female

Here is the Horoscope of a woman born on 18 February 1951 in New York City, NY, at 0:13 am EST.


She was still resident in New York City on 31 October 1981 when an important event occurred in her life.

The Test is to find by astrological means what was the event. It is one of the following five. Only one is correct, the rest are fictitious.

1. Her house was badly damaged in a storm
2. A dear friend died.
3. She suffered a cerebral stroke.
4. Her employer went bankrupt and she lost her job.
5. The bank foreclosed its mortgage on her house.

I print below the Age Harmonic Chart for the month of the event as an aid to those who don’t have the facilities to set up Age Harmonic Charts but would like to use them. The answer to the Test can be read from this Figure.

ANSWER

Rule: Search out the dominant feature.

The dominant feature of the Chart is the T-Square of Uranus and Jupiter afflicting the Ruler Mercury. Its orbs are less than 1-degree. Mercury is “the strong ruler of the brain” (Dr, Cornell: Encyclopaedia of Medical Astrology). Uranus = rupture, Jupiter = arterial blood. Hence the woman suffered a cerebral stroke.

The astrologer who supplied this Test wrote:
She was a friend for many years, who on the first day after her honeymoon suffered a severe and debilitating stroke, at 30 years old.

Correct Answers from Participants

I think that the right answer is that the native had a cerebral stroke although it seems very strange to have a cerebral stroke at 30 years.
There is a Yod configuration known as the Finger of God in the Birth Figure which includes Neptune, Pluto and North Node conjuncting Venus and Mars.
Examining Directions, this Aspect configuration can be seen unfolding by the time of the event - quincunxes turn into an opposition and a trine - Directed North Node together with Mars and Venus oppose Neptune and trine Pluto.
Moreover there are two 8th-11th House squares activated - Uranus-Saturn and Moon-Neptune.
By the time of the event the Moon-Neptune square "moves" to the Ascendant, Directed Neptune conjuncts the Ascendant) and Directed MC conjuncts Saturn thus activating the second square Uranus Saturn.
So both Ascendant and MC axis are severely afflicted.
And finally Directed Mars-Pluto midpoint conjuncts natal Uranus, and Directed Saturn conjuncts Sun-Uranus Natal midpoint, both configurations very often seen in this type of event.

Saturn is in parivartana yoga with Mercury (capacity mental) Lord XII in IV. Saturn and Mercury disposit all planets in this Chart .
Mercury Lord IX (luck) dispositor of Moon (House, mind) Lord X (destiny, karma).
Saturn dispositor of Jupiter (luck, all good things in life) Lord III (longevity, capacity to understand and communicate) Lord VI (health and psychism).
Venus Lord Asc (head, destiny, health, longevity) and VIII (longevity, health). Mars (head) Lord II (speaking) Lord VII (vitality, expansion in life).
Sun (health, vitality, brain) Lord XI (desires and their fulfillment).
Mars (head) and Venus (head because Lord Asc) and Jupiter Lord VI are closely conjunct and very close to the axis Rahu/Kethu.
That can give some serious health problem.
Moon (health, brain and destiny) is aspected by Jupiter and Saturn.
In Transit Saturn is close to Mercury in XII.
Sun in its Debility in Asc with Jupiter in infancy.
Moon in its Debility. Venus Lord Asc in infancy in III (Jupiter in Asc).
It’s possible she suffered a cerebral stroke.

She suffered a cerebral stroke. I used the astrological signatures of a stroke by Dr. Howard Cornell which are present in her Month Harmonic for the event:

1. Sun, R.12 in Aries (head) afflicts the Equ.Asc, both at the Aries Point, a public event. 11' orb.
2. Mars afflicted in the 6th.
3. Jupiter in 12th, afflicted in Leo. 35' orb.
4. Mercury, R. Asc., afflicted by Mars.
5. The transiting Asc for the event moves to the place of the fixed star, Regulus.
6. Event suddenness – Uranus in a Fixed Grand Cross involving, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter. 7' orb.

The 12th-6th axis is also EXACTLY emphasized by Primary Directions for the event:
1. 6th Cusp opposite Saturn, R.3, converse, 0.5' orb. 6th = Health, Injury.
2. 12th Cusp conjunct Saturn, R.3, converse, 0.5' orb. 12th = Hospital. 3rd = cerebral.

My answer is 3 - She suffered a cerebral stroke.
I based my choice on the Month Harmonic Chart and the chart of transits.
In the Month Harmonic Chart:
Uranus is culminating (ruling the 6th House – health) and opposes Mercury (rulling the Asc - physical body.
) Mars is in 6th House opposite Jupiter in 12th House and both make squares to the opposition Mercury/Uranus.
In the Transit Chart:
Tr. Uranus square Sun (unexpected stroke).
Tr. Saturn square Moon (loss, indicator of a near fatality).
Tr. Neptune square Mars (Mars rulling the Asc and 6th House).
Tr. Neptune square Venus (Venus ruling 12th House of hospitalisation).


Paul Langeveld (Holland):
It struck me that in the Natal Chart she had a Sun square Eq/A and in the Month Harmonic as well with Sun (12 Ruler) in Aries and Moon on Cusp 8.
Neptune (anesthesia) in 7 (surgeon) sextile Vertex is another indication.
In the Solar-Month Chart the conjunction Mercury/Jupiter/Pluto in 10 refers to Houses 6/12 and operation.
All this is indicating a cerebral stroke I think.

She suffered a cerebral stroke.
[In the Day Harmonic Chart] Mercury (3rd) in its own House square Mars (6th) opposite Jupiter (12th) forming a T-square tells the story. The T-square is given additional weight because of the mutual reception of Mercury and Jupiter.
Mercury represents mentality, the head, the brain in this circumstance. We have seen Jupiter-Mars aspects before and know that they often represent cutting or surgery. In this case bursting of blood vessels may be an appropriate description. Ordinarily someone only 30 years old would not have a cerebral stroke but it’s hard to argue with the charts.

Background: Her Birth Chart shows vulnerability to ill health with Pluto in Leo (the heart) square Asc. (the physical body). Heart trouble ahead with Pluto at Saturn/Uranus = heart-block, and with MC at Uranus/Neptune, a midpoint associated with apoplexy of the brain.
Disruptive Mars ruling the 6th of Ill-Health is conjunct Venus (venous circulation) in the Heart 5th.
The Illness-Axis Mars/Asc. falls on her n.3rd Cusp of nervous system, consciousness, and physical mobility, square Neptune.
As shown in the 30.665 Harmonic:
Both Luminaries are afflicted by malefics.
N. Moon is opposed by Pluto on 5th Cusp (opp. H.Saturn/Uranus and repeating the Natal Figure), and n.Neptune opposes Moon.
Saturn Ruler 5th is opposite Sun.
T-square of Mercury (H.1st ruler), Uranus (6th Ruler) and Jupiter announces a sudden and massive shock to the nervous system, with the potential of paralysis. Mars (R.6th Ruler) in 6th forming the fourth leg of a Fixed Square.
Her health is under threat of breakdown with Neptune, Mars and Venus opposite Asc.
On Oct. 26, Uranus transits square Sun. On Oct. 27, Mercury makes a Station on her Asc. at H.3rd Cusp.

Transit Rahu is closely afflicting Natal Mars.
Transit Rahu is closely afflicting Natal Venus.
H6 and H12 are exactly afflicted by Transit Mercury (MT Lord of H12).
Natal-Transit:
Natal Mars is influencing Transit Mercury and Transit Jupiter.
Mercury is the Navamsa lord of Natal Mars and Venus.
Jupiter is the Nakshatra lord of Natal Mars and Venus.
So Natal Mars is indirectly influencing the Transit Mars.
Event related to Mars will take place.
Rahu, significator of unexpected event related to Natal Mars and Venus again. Mars is the MT lord of H7 placed at H5. Venus is the MT lord of H1 placed at H5.
