Here is the Birth Horoscope of a woman born in Griffith, Australia at 1:10 am on 6 May 1956.
What occurred in the life of this woman on 14th October 1994? At the time of the occurrence she was living in Newcastle, Australia (32S56, 151E46). It was one of the following events. Only one is correct. Which one was it?
- She went on an overseas holiday.
- She gave birth to a daughter.
- Her marriage broke up.
- She joined an “occult” Society.

TEST 126: ANSWER
A clear astrological picture of the event is the Age Harmonic Chart for the day it happened, 14 October 1994, below.
Mars is closely conjunct Venus in the 12th House (sorrows and misfortunes) square the Moon in the 3rd House (brethren). Mars rules Houses 3 and 8 (deaths). This on its own distinguishes the correct answer - Event No. 5, her brother died, from all the others.

The closest aspects in this chart are:
Moon conjunct Eq. in the 3rd House of brothers and sisters
in an exact square to Mars , ruler of the 3rd and 8th, in the 12 House.
These aspects indicate she lost her brother.

I use western traditional astrology (7 planets, Placidus) and the diurnal chart for the birth place.
I observe in the diurnal chart for the date of the event that Mercury is in conjunction with the cuspid of the 4th House. Mercury is ruler of the 12th House. These elements mean a sad event. Mercury and Mars are significators of the younger brothers. We observe the 3th House. Saturn, almuten (co-ruler with Venus) of the 3th House, is in the 8th House (death). Venus is in the 4th House (exile) in conjunction with Jupiter, co-ruler of the 8th House. Moon, ruler of the first House, is in opposition without reception with Mars, significator of the younger brothers, maleficial planet, ruler of the 4th House (burial) and of the 9th House (religion, God (or the gods).

He is running Mercury dasha(an enemy of Mars, the third lord. Mars is
also the natural significator for brother), Venus bhukthi (Maraka planet

Also on the day of event the causative of planet of brother Mars
is transiting Cancer, the sign of debilitation.

1. Mars square Moon/Eq is the strongest aspect. It suggests the
devastating and emotional nature of the event for his sister.
Mars, in the 12th House of Sorrows, rules the 8th (death) and the 3rd (brothers).

2. Jupiter, emphasised by its elevation and its closeness to the 9th House cusp, opposes Uranus and Natal Mc in the 3rd.
This suggests the unexpected nature of the event. Jupiter also rules the 4th House of Endings.
In the natal chart Mercury is conjunct the South Node, indicating the potential for a negative event involving her brother's health. The relevant planetary triggers occurred on the14th October 1994 when Saturn was at 6 Pisces and Progressed Mars was at 5 Pisces, both squaring her natal Mercury.

Contraindications for:
Overseas holiday - H Uranus conjunct H Moon conjunct N Saturn = serious, not a light-hearted influence.
Birth of a daughter – H Uranus conjunct H Moon conjunct N Midheaven = an emotional shock, rather than a bringing together of a mother and daughter.
Marriage break-up – 4th House H Jupiter trine H Asc is a protective influence, as is H Moon/Uranus trine to H Mercury (Ruler of N 4th and 7th House). But otherwise the indicators listed above could apply equally as well to a marriage break-up. However the “death” indicators appear to override this as a possible event.
Joined an “occult” society. There are too many negative aspects. The expectation would be to see the 11th House more heavily tenanted or else the Sign/House Ruler under harmonious aspects.
Progressions by Solar Arc Directed for place of birth supported the event of death of a sibling, also.

According to me the answer should be No. 5, her brother died.
First of all I fixed the Ascendant so that its Sub-Sub lord establishes relationship with the Moon's star lord and also reveals the sex of the native. [Horoscope was attached].
On 14.10.1994, the native was running the period of Mer-Ven-Ven-Jup-Rahu. The correct application of Vimsottari indicates that the Sookshama and Prana lords in consonance with the transit of Sun and Moon indicate the happenning of the specific event. Both Sun and Moon on 14.10.1994 transitted in the star of Mars.
Jupiter is in no way connected with the primary cusp for overseas travel, birth of a daughter (though it is not specified first or second child etc.), breaking up of marriage or joining an "Occult" society.
Having eliminated these events, I was in a fix. Then I noticed that the native is running Mercury Dasa. The planet Mer is the Sub-Sub lord of the 6th cusp which is 8th from 11th - the House that represents elder co-born. Mercury is in Moon star. Moon appears in 6th cusp (i.e 8th from 11th) and in 12th cusp (i.e 2nd from 11th cusp). Mercury is in the Sub of Rahu that represents saturn who is the Sub-Sub lord of the 11th cusp. Mercury is in the Sub-Sub of jupiter that appears in 5th cusp which is both Maraka and Badhaka. This confirmed that the Dasa lord Mercury has the potential to inflict death on the elder
co-born.
Venus is both the Bhukti as well as the Antara lord. It qualifies to be the specific Bhukti to cause the death of the elder co-born because Venus is in Mars star that appears in 12th House i.e 2nd from 11th and it is in the Sub of Sun that appears in 6th cusp i.e. 8th from 11th cusp. Venus is in the Sub-Sub of Ra that appears in 5th cusp (Maraka & Badhaka) and as Saturn appears in 6.
Sookshma lord Jupiter is in Mercury star. Mercury is the Sub-Sub lord of the 6th cusp i.e 8th from 11th. Jupiter is in the Sub of Saturn that appears in 11th cusp -- the Ascendant for the elder co-born. Thus the sookshma lord is clearly linked with 1 and 8. Similarly Rahu, the Prana lord is linked to 1 and 8.
Death of a person takes place on a particular day when Sun and Moon transit in
a. The star of the planet i.e. the Sub-Sub lord of the 8th cusp.
b. The star of the planet whose star lord in the chart is the same as the star lord of the sub-sub lord of the 8th cusp.
Here both Sun and Moon were transiting in Mars star. In the chart Mars is in Moon star and so is Mercury the Sub-Sub lord of the 8th cusp.

I think the Mars -0- Venus -90- the Moon is very clearly indicating the death of the brother. The 4th Harm Lunar Return with the partile square Mercury/Saturn resp. 3 and 10 ruler both in square to Mars (1 ruler) is confirmatory.
As well as the 12th Harm.Solar Return of 9 Oct. with Mercury/Mars square resp. 3 and 10 ruler and Moon partile trine Mars.

I am using the Age Harmonic chart, Tropical Zodiac, Equal Houses. The Moon conjunct Saturn and the Part of Fortune in 6th House suggest an unhappy event.
Lord of Ascendant Mercury is the most angular planet. It is in mutual reception and quincunx with Mars. Mars is lord of 3rd (brother) and is located in 12th (loss)
and squares Uranus, conjunct the cuspid of 3rd.
