Kirby has trained to the Elementary Level of the RAD (Royal Academy of Dancing) in classical ballet.

She commenced dancing at an early age of 3 with Dance Unlimited  in Narromine NSW - under the direction of Principal, Tanya Hearne-Keenan, until the age of 13.  At Dance Unlimited she also trained with Kristy Tancred (who was a principal dancer with the Augusta Ballet Georgia, before becoming a freelance dancer, based  in Nashville TN in the  United States.  Kristy has since returned from the States and is now a Guest teacher on the Gold Coast. )

Kirby then continued her training at the Dubbo Ballet School.

During her training Kirby attended various workshops in Sydney at the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy and Ecole Classique Ballet School.  Kirby also attended a week long workshop with the Royal Academy of Dance in Adelaide where she trained under professional dance instructors, in various dance styles. She has also attended Winter Schools at Dance Unlimited Mudgee training under some very accomplished Dance Teachers including Julie Wells, Kim Traynor, and Sandra Griffin.

Kirby has been teaching for 10 years - she taught for the Dubbo City  Performing Arts Studio in Dubbo, Narromine & Warren and has been principal of her own school “Dance Experience”  in Warren for 8 years.  Kirby is commenced classes in Trangie under the same name in 2008.

Classes taught will be in  Classical Ballet (RAD Syllabus),  Jazz, Contemporary and Tap.
