Bio David Baggs CA FRAIA ABSA GSAP M RoySoc, is Technical Director of Ecospecifier International, an industry leading multidiscipline sustainable development consultancy as well as operators of the internationally renowned online knowledge and database of life-cycle based verified information on eco-and health preferable products. He is an award winning chartered architect, sustainability and energy-efficiency consultant with nearly 30 years experience in Green Buildings.
He was sustainability, energy and eco-product and materials consultant to 10 Olympic projects in the Sydney 2000 Olympics ‘Green Games’ including the Olympic Village and the Olympic Arena and more recently Brisbane City Council’s new Headquarters fitout as well as Sydney’s new Green Square Town Centre and AMP Global Headquarters. David and the Ecospecifier team were the 2003/2004 Housing Industry of Australia’s National GreenSmart Professionals of the Year. David is a regular Educator and speaker Nationally and Internationally on Sustainability, Green Building Design and Rating Schemes including Green Star™ and LEED™. He is also an author and co-author on several books on Green Building Design and Materials selection.
