Urban Design
The goal is to 'recycle' surface space. Relocating utilities, transit systems and waste treatment plants to
underground shelters liberates valuable surface space for other uses. The underground shelters provide cost-efficient
climate control while newly 'recycled' surface space is ideal for residential and recreational use.
This is a vision for the future with a new perspective on urban design.
Underground Shelters
Underground shelters conserve existing surface space by utilising the unused space below the surface.
Underground shelters make for environmentally friendly, energy efficient homes as well as versatile industrial spaces.
The building of underground shelters is generally referred to as geotecture, often employing other technologies
such as terratecture (cut-construct-cover) and lithotecture (tunnelling).
Earth Sheltered Homes
Earth sheltered homes are low allergy, energy efficient homes that maximise existing surface space
and minimise your energy costs. Earth sheltered homes offer all this and more.
Conservative estimates place running costs of earth sheltered homes at 50% less than conventional above ground housing.
We the have resources and expertise to help you design and build your own earth sheltered home.
