To work out if your belly is too big for your body and your long term health, follow these four easy steps:
  1. Stand relaxed and, with either a METRIC or an IMPERIAL tape measure, measure around your waist at the level of your navel. You are cheating if you hold your tummy in!
  2. Next, measure around your hips at the largest part of your buttocks (where your backside sticks out the most).
