Transformations

At all times, the path into hexagram 04 is that of 07 - Uniforming. What this implies is that the change of any hexagram into 04 is forced to go through the characteristics of 07

At all times the path out of hexagram 04 is the opposite of the path in - in this case the path described by 13 - associating. Thus the process of hexagram 04 changing into any other hexagram has to pass through hexagram 13 to start.

Influences

Hexagram 04 finds it's roots in hexagram 19, Approaching, with the emphasis on student approaching teacher (who allows it - deference).
