TASTE the flavour of the World Youth Day Festival: huge crowds, awesome music and an energetic celebration! 2pm to 7pm Palm Sunday 1st April at the Cathedral Steps.

Youth Mass will be celebrated by Cardinal George Pell, plus you'll hear some moving & practical preaching from Fr Stan Fortuna himself!

CELEBRATE! Not only will you be joined by the youth from ALL OVER SYDNEY but visitors from Canberra and all our surrounding diocese are coming along for the ride!

Dear Parishioners

Thank you to all the Parishioners who kindly supplied palms for our mass this weekend. Preparations of Easter services are under way. So many of you have offered to help and support. Let us try and keep the ceremonies to the high standard we have had. Please note the times for reconciliation 3rd & 4th April—7pm to 8pm. On Good Friday the young people of our Parish will lead us through the Stations at 10am on the tiled area outside the church, weather permitting.  Let us offer our little discomforts and aches on the day to the Lord. Those who have difficulty in standing please bring your camping chairs or you could follow the reflections seated in the church. The collection made on Good Friday will go towards support of the church in Holy Land. The Project compassion boxes can be placed in the large boxes provided at the back of the church from Holy Thursday on.                                                                                           Two symbols dominate the celebration of Christ’s Passion: the palms & the cross. The palms symbolize Christ’s triumph and the cross is the means by which that triumph is achieved. During Holy Week suffer a little this week. Fast from food, TV or entertainment. Try to be less distracted as you prepare for Easter. Have a Holy Week.      Father Phillips
