Text: With the ongoing success of Shout At The Devil, 1984 has
been a great year for Mötley Crüe and wherever, and whenever, you
happen to be reading this, we’d like to thank you for your support.
Since our story so far has been well documented in the music press,
rather than indulge in any kind of long-assed biography, we’ve decided
to pack out this tour book with as many hot live pix as possible, as
well as including some off-the-wall factfiles. We’re sure that true
Crüe fans will get off on these far more than the typical bullshit
ramblings that tend to fill the pages of most tour programmes.
For the uninitiated, Mötley Crüe was officially formed on January 17th,
1981 in Los Angeles; we subsequently built up a strong local following
and then put out our independent debut Too Fast For Love LP, which
later led to a worldwide deal with Elektra; Shout At The Devil came out
late last year and we’ve since been busting our balls on the road.
Anyway, stay bad and keep sinning!

Text: Wherever,

the fans, for your incredible support. Since the Mötley Crüe story thus

officially formed on January 17th, 1981 in Los Angeles; we
subsequently built up a strong local following and then put out our
independent debut Lp, TOO FAST FOR LOVE, which later led to a worldwide
deal with Elektra; SHOUT AT THE DEVIL came out in late ‘83 and we
subsequently spent the next year busting our balls on the road. Now,
we’re back with our third album, THEATRE OF PAIN, and it’s accompanied
by what is unquestionably one of the most spectacular, energized stage
shows ever presented. We look forward to seeing you on our marathon
world tour. In the meantime, stay bad and keep sinning! -Nikki-Vince-Tommy-Mick-
Note:
A Japanese version was also produced containing a mixture of photos of
the band as well as live shots from the Shout At The Devil days,
complete with all the text in Japanese.
There are also some Mötley pages in the US Festival book as well.

Intro
Text: What’s
most important to a rock & roll band? To be voted No. 1 favorite
metal band for three years by the readers’ poll of Hit Parader? Or have
a new album enter the Billboard chart at No. 5? And shipped platinum to
boot? Any run of
the mill band would be happy for half that, and then they’d sit on
their asses and slide. Wouldn’t you? Not Mötley. Because Mötley kicks
ass. Because Vince, Tommy, Mick and Nikki need to kick ass. And it’s
because they won’t accept anything less than the best for themselves
and their fans. At heart they’re real grinders. They have to be,
because they’re competing with the best. They’re in competition with
themselves. So the new
show and album are the baddest, toughest Mötley yet, not some
sound-alike, look-alike retread. Once you’ve heard the album and seen
the show you’ll know: Mötley came, Mötley saw, and Mötley thrashed.
Nikki puts it mildly when he says, "As musicians, we’re not even the
same rock & roll band anymore. When you hear the record and see the
show you’ll be able to hear that we are a seasoned rock & roll
band." And Crüe
never forgets a friend – Even though Mick, Tommy, Vince and Nikki are
straight ahead about their music, they are just as serious about the
Crüe Credo. This show and album are for all the headbangers who live on
the edge and don’t compromise with anyone or anything, living for
themselves and their dreams.
